Yeah she specifically was a bitch but that doesn't mean no one should be allowed to go on a trip with their friends. You don't always need to be present. For instance, if a wife goes on girl’s nights with her friends once a month, then all is probably well in the world. If she’s doing it 3-4 times per month, it’s time for some serious concern. If she’s doing it multiple times per week, she’s cheating. Particularly if her friends are single/divorced. I’d say going on a trip for 6 weeks without your spouse is dicey even in the best of marriages. That’s a lot of time to be gone. But if it’s a “girl’s trip”, this is just begging to get cheated on. You need to calm yourself a bit. Especially your last jab about not controlling a spouse. Not sure if you understand this, but marriage isn’t just “dating plus”. You’re legally and financially tying yourself to another person. Anything they do can and will directly affect your life. So having boundaries on what you’ll tolerate is not only acceptable, but necessary. For instance, if my wife made friends with single women at her job and starting staying out drinking with them until 4am, I can’t “command” her to stop doing this. What I CAN do is not tolerate it and divorce. And if my wife told me she wanted to tour foreign countries with her f-ing SORORITY SISTERS for 6 weeks, I’d wish her the best of luck as a single woman. You’re correct that I don’t always need to be present around my wife. But seriously… a bunch of girl’s from a sorority want a girl’s only trip, and you think that would be a good idea? Maybe LISTEN to some of these Reddit stories where these trips happen, and see for yourself how often this leads to cheating.

A lot of people who cheat were the same people who believed they would never do such a thing. That it is disgusting and shameful. But they always end up saying "I don't know what came over me." Or "I got lost in the moment." And usually, that slip-up happens in a single night, in a club down the road. Given a month and a half, on the other side of the world, the chances she would make that "mistake" is way too high to ignore. It would be common sense to assume they cheated and it is impossible to prove otherwise. Is it possible that she didn't cheat? Of course. But only a fool would be so trusting to believe that. That type of person ends up getting abused and taken advantage of because of their lack of understanding of humanity. But why marry if you won't trust someone unconditionally? Unconditional love doesn't exist, love dies often and always. No one's love is perfect and unyielding. Also anyone who is willing to get married in this crazy society is already a lost cause.
