Ann is the bad guy here. I don't think the movie realizes that. Also, TMI to tell a group of strangers, that was awkward af.

I can't really like Anne. She knew what she was doing, knew the damage it could cause, and didn't care. She whipped poor Patrick, which I absolutely cant forgive. She grew as a person, I'll give her that, but my favorite character in that story was Patrick by far.

Honestly, I love Patrick, too. I just love donkeys. They have so many sweet qualities. They’re even-tempered, and they don’t get spooked by loud noises like horses do. I think it’s because their eyes are in front of their head instead of on the sides, so they can easily integrate the things they see, and aren’t easily surprised. Oh, and their babies are so cute and gentle. Very lovable animals.

How is any of this okay, celebrated, or even condoned? There's a child whose life is literally threatening to get derailed by idiotic adults.

I feel more for poor Donkey !

This was a real story of a difficult situation told with unapologetic reality, hurt, and compassion. I love that she grew to love the donkey.
