Lucy, for a seasoned, 20-yr veteran, theatre artist to do a performance like this, well this is an outstanding performance, no doubt! For a 14-yr old to do a performance like this with NO musical or theatre experience, well..........this borders on the supernatural........

Of all the wonderful songs Lucy has done. This remains my favorite. It is absolutely perfect. She sings with more emotion than any other singer. There are times when I wish she would never grow up. Perfection at 14. My whole-body tingles when I hear her.

I only discovered the phenomenon that is Lucy Thomas earlier this year. Her technical ability, breath control, clarity and diction is amazing. Every song she has recorded is in my humble opinion a masterpiece but I come back time and time again to this beautiful rendition of 'She used to be mine'. Like others I have listened to many recording of this song - none have the empathy, understanding and awareness that Lucy brings to it. I am in awe that a 14 year old can get into the soul of this waitress. I have listened to all the other top vocalist sing this and they all seem to overpower it. Lucy is the only one who sings it with empathy, softness, longing, despair, gut wrenching emotion. Others seem to have a performance. Lucy, even at 14, sings it with feeling. It is a totally different song when she sings it, just perfect.

How can a child infuse a song with such poignancy and pathos and with such beguiling modesty and humility. What a gift Lucy is.

This is a "Rosie" performance in terms of............everything! Lucy felt this one right away and assumed her persona, faults and all, and the trials & tribulations this waitress has faced in the past and what her life might have been.........but there may be hope in the future! This emotional & empathic masterpiece is right there with all of the other "Rosie" performances, just brilliantly acted out by Lucy!!

When I think back to my own teen years I was embarrassingly shy and had no confidence and found a corner to hide in. I didnt realise Lucy is a teen herself when she caught the publics imagination with her obvious talents. Im really pleased for her having the confidence to perform in public and on TV. You see, some of Lucy's earlier work doesn't get the same level of recognition as her latest work, which, of course, are all masterpieces! Remember, folks, Lucy is 14 years old! Age does NOT matter! What stands out here is something that VERY few artists can truly master: CONTROL! Lucy is under complete control and her low range is perfect, just that slight vibrato to bring those lyrics out in the open! How can you sing with this genius at 14 yrs. old?. I did covered Lucy about 6 months ago and can’t stop listening to her and her Sister Martha. - ( I’m 77 yrs. old.
