A bit of a correction to what you said @6:50 Elena is a dandelion. She just isn't a union leader. Same goes for Ven. Every child in that data world was chosen as a dandelion by Ava (except for maybe Ven). People tend to get this mixed up. Just because someone wasn't a union leader didn't mean that they weren't a dandelion.

Actually the wayfinder trio will play a big part in training Kairi, two master level characters to train her and one to become a rival she can compete against to eventfully match Sora and Riku by KH4.

I always thought that one of the meanings of Kairi's Grandma story was the idea that Kingdom Hearts when it isn't summoned by the X blade is physically in the Realm of Darkness. Your theory honestly also makes sense however it can really be both and likely can even have more hints about future events as well. As for Kairi having her own game I am of two minds about it. 1 they seem be making the moves to have Kairi become a hero and get her own game. They have taken Sora away to a place she can't reach, which is a good thing because she his hyper focused on him. To the point she is ignoring her own wants and character treats. They have taken alway at lest three of the strongest wielders from the realm of Light. If the villains have been waiting for a chance to strike now when Sora, Riku, and Mickey are not around is the perfect time to do it. Added to that I am almost sure that everyone in Twilight Town is going to be busy because the foretellers are going to take over the Mansion so they might be slow to react if something else happens. And I also think it is possible that the Wayfinder Trio is going to run into trouble before they get back from the realm of darkness, likely finding something really important there(likely not a clue about Sora). All these things will kind of force Kairi to become a character and a hero and we will get a game about it. A Game Idea where she goes on a journey maybe with Donald and Goofy, and maybe with a single other wielder either Lea or Ventus would be my guess. Maybe she will get Minnie as a mentor(I really doubt the stated plan for Aqua to teach Kairi is going to work). Kairi has to deal with Maleficent's plan, and actually the person that puts the evil fairy out of the picture. 2 All these bad things will happen and Kairi fails to step up. She continues on her hidden negative character arc, only it is no longer a hidden character arc. Proving that she is actually a well written character just one that doesn't fit the stereotype we have been trying to fit her into. We may or may not get a game focused on Kairi in this case. Maybe playable segments in someone else's game, or maybe just cutscenes. I kind of like this idea mostly because the groundwork is already there for Kairi to have this kind of character journey and it almost makes more sense then having Kairi be the only badly written character in KH. However if they go this route I am unsure if they will have a full Kairi game. Overall I am not sure which way they are pushing Kairi. I kind of guess option 1 but I really like option 2 a lot better because it allows the small character arc hints she already has to have pay off. However so long as they do something with Kairi I will likely be ok with it. Though if they just keep her as is then she can very easily become a character I want out of the game. Badly written love interests are not fun, and actually can destroy an otherwise wonderful story. I have high hopes for Kairi because I believe the writers can get her out of the whole they have put her in. One way or the other. That said I do beleive that Kairi has a lot of important information and lore that we need. Well either her or Ienzo has the information.

There are rumors that is actually Vor who could be Kairi's grandma... What we have to ascertain is if Kairi's dad was a red head.

Let's also remember, Riku has wielded 4 Keyblade at this point. How is the Wayfinder trio finished though. Ventus alone is tied to the next saga. With that being a thing, Terra and Aqua are instantly dragged in by default being so connected to Ventus. Axel literally just became a keyblade welder. Xion is connected to Kairi. That thrusts Roxas into the next saga.

I always like the theory that Xehanort is your player character from Union Cross re-born, which makes the Keyblade Ceremony with him and Sora that much more cool because we as the player are finally giving sora his own Keyblade officially.

In the deepest darkness, there will always be a light to guide you… Like ven and aqua with Terra?. Or Mickey with Riku? Or ven and Terra’s keyblades with Aqua? Oh, and Terra without eraqus within Xehanort’s darkness? Or even cloud with tifa? Wow… the analogy was used quite a bit. Now That I think of it…

Just saying, but the first part of Kairi’s Grandmother’s story (the part about light fighting to get more light and Darkness being born in those light’s hearts), that part did not point at anything at the time (because it was the first game) but now: It points at the 1st Keyblade War and it’s events before that happened. The story of Kingdom Hearts Union X. Do not forget that you actually had that game and it’s story being very important. Including the still not yet fully released “Dark Road” part of the game that features the story of Xehanort when he grew up (and the fact that the heart of the Player Character from Union X was reborn AS Xehanort’s heart) and became a Keyblade Master and his decent into Darkness.

Just like all the other people out there who care about Sore purpose in this in his own Ark he is one of the most unique and purpose of all people in the story in weapon of his own in the image of the key much like his friends and 10000 times worthy of it is so true about him the fullest because it approved the epilogue and everything else it is a demonstration of courage and Leadership outside of his friends in the mirror puffle fact that he with the one in the in the station of wakening at the beginning of his journey who was spoken to to prove himself to be worthy

9:42 - If you can find it. Yeah, events in the past made it just a LITTLE difficult to locate. Also there are some locks that require specific Keyblades to unlock, as we've seen already. So it's possible that a Keyblade from that era is required.

Anyone else feel like this is old news? I theorized back when khux ended that kairis grandmother was either ava or skuld. My reasoning for this is rather simple and can easily be proven wrong, at least where ava is concerned, but there is a scene in khux where a woman who looks like skuld is giving a man who is dressed in brown robes the young xehanort, provided that this is skuld, what’s to stop her from having more children/adopting a grandchild. It would also explain xehanorts connection to kairi and how her grandmother knew of the story of light and darkness, something that only keyblade weilders have heard and spoken about. Also, the keyblade weilders in khux went to sleep until the time their world is reawakened, aka the datascape, with the exception of those that escaped and your character who is reincarnated into xehanort.

I was waiting for Kairi to get a more active role from after KH1. It has been 20 freaking years and she has only slightly shifted to being somewhat useful, but always ends up being the princess that's in another castle.

Tbh I see the next game just being another Dream drop distance but minus the dreams and the timer, with a boss fight against Yozora (AKA Nomura's self insert character, I mean he literally Said he gave his exact eye color to him and not to mention if you really look at it he took letters from his last and first name to make the name "Yozora") in the beginning until Riku release Sora by finding his heart hence them both waking up in Tokyo. Also the next arc is about our world. Now hear me out, think about it sure here in the real world all fairy tales and fantasies are fiction but in the kingdomheartsverse, fairy tales and fantasies are non fiction and a world without magic, darkness or light is a world of fiction, I mean it's obvious quadratum is just our world, a world which is fictional in the KHverse and I mean the normal moon, not mention Yozora using technology opposed to magic due to magic not existing in our world. And this arc has been foreshadow ever since org13 was made as Yozora's character literally has nobody ear rings and Luxord is his igneous as well as already stating in KH 3 he had other plans and that these problems aren't his own literally showing he's had his memories sense beginning because he's not from KH he's from quadratum AKA our world a world free of light, darkness and magic that's also why Luxord always needed xemnas to actually fight us because he can't use any magic he's just a card master butler. And I can see another spin off game next to this one about Kairi training with Aqua to become an official keyblade weilder. Also I believe the whole true light statement is actually referring to the fact that all darkness was orginally light as we literally see in union cross that the portal of "darkness" are portals of light in union cross essentially this arc involves getting Yozora on our side as well as saving his girl and getting his real heart back and then creating a link between the worlds of fiction (quadratum) and the kh worlds. And I think the end of kh will have to do with that world we always see Sora open roads in a world where the dark moons come from in the remind Xehanort boss fight. Also some corrections the reason the kingdom key chose Sora is due to it being aligned with light and his, Ven and Kairi's heart all together at the time so their combined light out shown the darkness of Riku not to mention the protection spell Aqua placed on Kairi which is the whole reason she ended up on destiny island not to mention it's cannon that Sora won the race with fruit in kh1 against Riku and only won because Riku let him win, the fruit tied Kairi and Sora together he keeps her from darkness along with Aqua's spell and kairi and Sora's friends stop him from falling too deep into the darkness allowing to control his darkness hence the rage form. Also fyi union cross confirmed that Xehanort is the reincarnation of our player character who immediately felt a connection to Empher. Also if you listen to Xehanort's speech after being beaten in base kh3 he literally describes what he saw when he was the player character before he was reincarnated. Remember he said all his other selves could exist as one in Scala, count the replicas one for all the darkness that killed him, then the main clone that remind Sora and Kairi fight AKA the player character and the one Sora, Donald and Goofy fight AKA Xehanort his reincarnation. We AKA Xehanort became the vessel of darkness so we could help find the one who would be worthy of the keyblade and find all the keys to restoring the world to how it should be finally freeing the light from the shadows (the yin and the yang.)

You died... Your player isn't still there, they either died from their wounds and became Xehanort or just before they died the world went into sleep mode, you refused sleep, and became Xehanort. If anything is still there, its the darknesses, assuming they didn't eventually wither away without a host.

I don't think Luxu would know the darknesses are locked in the pipeline. He only knows what he sees, and the Master of Master only know what the keyblade sees. Neither Luxu not the keyblade saw Ephemer send the player into the pipeline, he didn't see the player lock them in the pipeline either. Luxu should have no idea.

Master Xehanort deeming Sora as a worthy Keyblade wielder, in addition to Sora proving himself to the Kingdom Key back in KH 1 (Never Fully Played through, JUNGLE WORLD), As well as handing over the Key to ALL WORLDS? It just tells me that, Like Ansem indirectly telling Sora and Riku that they are his successors, that they will find the answers he was looking for THE RIGHT WAY, Xehanort officially made Sora his personal successor. Damn IT! Now I'm both happy, and sad!

My one main issue with this theory is what happened to our PC's. After locking four of the Darknesses between data worlds in with us and we die, we see a bunch of other PC's becoming Spirits, and Chirithy explains we can either go to sleep and they become our protector, or pass and our heart melts into another's before cutting to baby Xehanort being handed over to a robed figure by (presumably) his mother from what appears to be Scala ad Caelum, implying that our hearts melded with Xehanort (or his mom, or the figure who takes him to Destiny Islands, but unless they're secretly someone already established, probably not) since our heart floated offscreen instead of being picked up by Chirithy like the other PC's

Wait what? The player character did die. They were reincarnated as Master Xehanort. Everyone is Xehanort is no longer just a meme. The player was literally reborn as them. I was curious where this might lead until you reached this part almost 9 mins in. But yeah, that's why you see the scenes afterward of baby Xehanort and so on.

I think that the next phase will be a story about both Sora and Kairi because if you think about it Sora has many connections to what the Lost Master arc will be about through many people. Kairi would just be his biggest connection to the new plot since she is a princess of heart and his closest friend.

I think the part "But someday, a door to the innermost darkness will open. And the true light will return." Is a foreshadowing of kingdom hearts 1 ending where ansem open the door to darkness and the light came out.

I could care less about Kairi now. I used to really like her, but I don't like the voice change in kh3 and other more vocal fans actively demanding she be made more relevant kinda just spoiled her for me. Plus, its usually the "we need a strong female character" line of thinking, as if Aqua- one of the best characters in the entire franchise and someone who arguably carried the overarching plot on her back, just doesn't exist. Idk man, simply not to interested in her and her character anymore due to other people and design choices. It sucks.

kairi is absolutely not going to be the focus going forward. nomura has shown time and time again that he has little to no interest in her, and has stated that kingdom hearts is about sora (and riku). it wouldn't be kingdom hearts if sora (and/or riku) isn't the main focus and protagonist

The ending of union cross the player character refuses to go to sleep and become a dream eater. Thus he is dissolved into a new heart. That new heart is baby Xeahnort, hence why dark road starts with young xeahnort dreaming about the events in the keyblade war thus getting obsessed with it. They only way he would be dreaming about the player character laying on the floor waiting for death before ephimer rescued him is because his heart was dreaming of its past.

How can Kairi be apart of the Destiny trio when she's an alien from Radiant Garden? Kairi being the star of a kh game would slightly turn me away because she isn't an effective combatant despite literaly training in a hyperbolic time chamber the Witch should have exited with actual musculature her death should have remained. KH3 should have teamed her and Riku up during one of the Org.XIII battles but no that didn't happen.

What I don't get if sora wasn't chosen what was with his dream in kh1

Personally i think Sora is pretty underdeveloped too. I am currently trying bring the KH series to life as an animated tv series, with a few liberties made to make the narrative flow more organically and help it make sense. Such as replacing Goofy and Donald with Goofy's son, Max, and Donald's Nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie (by extention the Duck triplets will divide Donald's role as the mage between them. Huey would be the offensive black mage, Dewey the supportive white mage with the cure, KHII's version of Fire, KHI's versions of Aero and Blizzard, etc. And Louie with the help of Sora will be the catalyst that introduces their summonable friends and allies, not necessarily a full on summoner but someone who can still communicate with them in there hibernating forms of the summon gems, or through the charms and binders they get in II and III.) Not only does replacing Donald and Goofy make Jiminy Cricket's role as the Chronicler make more sense, but it also changes the unintended context within what a lot of fans refer to as "Sora Abuse", those moments when King Mickey appears and suddenly Donald and Goofy, his two best friends in the world, treat him like a god and push a 16 yr old (by KHIII) around just to get close...rather aggressively i might add. With Max, Huey, Dewey, and Louie however, i see it as a bunch of kids being excited to meet their hero at first, and after the bombshell that reveals the king dislikes being put on a high pedestal and that Donald and Goofy were best friends with the king since WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY back (hense why they would have gone with King Mickey to the Realm of Darkness, and accompanied him through the kings other missions in KHII, and III, not as keywielders but as the kings friends who stick together no matter the situation), the excitement would be more towards their mentors as they are eager to catch up with them and trying to shake off their idol worship of Mickey. I also think Sora should have showed signs of PTSD after the Destiny Islands were swallowed by the darkness. Depending on whether or not Disney settled the legal issues when it comes to Tarzan's inclusion in the series, the Deep Jungle will be swallowed up infront of Sora as he tries his hands at piloting the Gummi for the first time. Triggering his PTSD and survivors guilt from losing his home, distracting him from realizing what is infront of him and crashlanding on an asteroid. (Btw sora will be aged down to 11 for the events of the 1st game. Alot of characters will have their ages tweaked but for better narrative consistency. The triplets are 10 and max will be 12 but Max will still be old enough to Pilot the Gummi Ship by their worlds standards), While Chip and Dale take the miniships to try to repair the Gummi Ship from the outside, Max chews Sora out for not listening when trying to teach him the basics of piloting to him. Sora runs to his room, and when Jiminy checks in on him wanting to know what happened before deciding on a fitting consequence for what happened. Sora reveals that he lost his home and explains how seeing a the world they were heading towards get swallowed up, reminded him how terrifying it was. Jiminy explains to Sora that he's experiencing PTSD and Survivors guilt, and opens up to him about having lost his home too. How he hopes Pinocchio and his father, Gepetto are safe, and all that. Giving Jiminy some extra development as he helps Sora understand what hes going through and how to cope. My ideas are still a work inprogress but i think it could work well

This is one of those times when I have to say "I don't have receipts so have a pinch of salt and feel free to ignore me" but while Sora in time became the more important person to Kairi, I thought it was Riku's light that led her to destiny islands. Throughout the games Riku has always been shown either directly or indirectly to have a stronger light when compared to others, and if I remember correctly both Terra and Aqua were led to Destiny Islands by his larger than life light. I might be misremembering, I stopped playing after 3DS, and Nomura writes like an idiot so it's probably impossible to tell for sure until KH61.6 clears it all up for our descendants...

Well, you quickly jumped of the rails. The true light has always been Kingdom Hearts. Ever since the first game all the way to where we are now. It isn't even close to reasonable to assume that it is the master of masters. Especially when taking the keyblade war into account. Even though Luxu is the traitor, he was correct when stating that the master never cared about protecting the world. Also, the Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer we got at least partially debunked the whole Kairi being the main character part.

Riku was the rightful owner of the keyblade? No. He was the rightful owner of the kingdom key but sora could wield a keyblade even if the kingdom key stayed on Riku. He had vens heart in him and as tetsua Nomura said a person that has a heart who can wield a keyblade can wield too.

Honestly, I don't want more Kairi, at this point it's too little too late IMO. Everything about her is bland, I would rather have a game where we play as Lexaeus, Larxene and Megara, literally anyone else but Kairi. I want her to go away because she's been the macguffin so long now. Literally, Riku and Sora have more chemistry than she has with Sora. I could not care less about her if I tried.
