Everyone saying ginny needs parents who basically wouldnt tolerate this shit.... can i just point out that even if she was young and not understanding what was happening properly while she was a kid, she was still traumatised and the pieces have started to fall into place. She had a crazy, action packed childhood and she CRAVES stability and normalcy. Shes still a kid and she doesnt comprehend that the trauma she went through her mum went through tenfold. She doesnt understand her mum did everything she could to protect her and raise her safe and happy. My dad used to beat the shit out of my mum and me and my siblings. My mum left and did everything she could to protect us but she still had to send us screaming and begging not to go to his at the weekend because she didnt know he hurt us she just knew about herself. We never told her because we knew it would make her sad and when i got older the resentment i had towards her and my stepdad for what id had to endure was completely not their fault - but i took it out on them. Because teenagers are children who have such strong emotions and feelings and theyve started to realise the crazy shit they were put through and shes lashing out and no georgia doesnt deserve it yes georgia did everything she could to protect ginny and show her love and happiness but please can the hatred towards ginny, for being like every teenager who went through trauma and not being mature and grown at 15/16 and coping and managing healthily, stop because as someone who spent most of their teen years in group therapy with other teenagers with c-ptsd ginny is representing how a lot of us felt and acted and lashed out at those around us.

Tbh, I can kind of see where Ginny is coming from. She grew up with her mom always running, always getting into dangerous situations, and being destroyed mentally by it all. Ginny wants to feel normal, and she wants to have the life she’s seen all these other kids have. She finally gets a taste of it, and finds out all of these horrible things Georgia has done. Yes, Ginny is a huge brat. Yes, Georgia did all these things to help herself and her children, but in the end she still killed three people. In this scene, Ginny is expressing that she doesn’t want to be like her mom, and she doesn’t want to run from her mother’s problems when she just got the life she wanted.
