What a wonderful day for a little girl! Mud, rocks, bottles daddy wants. Heaven! You are parents like mine 70 years ago. I went fishing and hunting and dammed many a creek while we camped by the side of the river.

Hemingray - 9. Used for telephone lines (small sized - not a lot of power over the wires). Patent date May 2, 1893 is for the "drip points" at the bottom of the skirt. They were a marketing gimmick claimed to make rainwater evacuate the surface of the glass faster after a rain, thereby limiting signal loss of electricity to ground. Common in aqua. But come in a beautiful 7-Up green!

A Coke bottle from Newnan, that's crazy , I live in Newnan and did not know there ever was a bottler here, hopefully I can find some good places to dig around the county, thanks for inspiring me, and thanks for saving some Americana history. Very cool finds, beautiful bottles, here in North Central Texas one of the most common is a Gebharts Chili powder.

I am so freaking jealous. We were able to do things like this back when I was a kid. Lot of road work going on in our little town. My eyes are wide open but not seeing anything. Chico's established about 1867-68. Great video. Stay safe.

Dang to bad they covered it up so fast. They dug up a couple parking lots here and we followed them with the detectors as fast as we could but man they can work fast. Lol. Glad you saved all you could.

Back in the 60s or 70s somone must have known it was there!? Too bad a place like thats gone and undug by anyone. Least you got a few treasures outa it! Enjoyed the video.

Man that site has so much potential! It must eat at you that they're paving it over. But at least you saved some great finds and had a fun adventure with the family - which is what you'll remember the most!

You should go back and talk to several of the workers. Ask if any dirt was hauled and dumped somewhere else. Also, ask the excavator operator to give you a call next time he sees something like that old dump. Tell him there could be a reward for him.

I found my first Cobalt blue poison when I was 8

I wss born and raised in warrior. I never knew there was a bottling company there. My grandfather Wright was the constable there in the late 1890's till about 1903. Please let.me know.where the bottling company was it may have been at the old ice house.Any info would appreciated.

That's a very lucky hit there my only hit like that was in Savannah Georgia when we put in a paint pigment plant up at The old site of a battery ram along the river there was a old dump there We was working there As electricians And still get run off They Told us we couldn't Look around That we might get hurt

Def got a love/ hate thing for these construction sites. Dont gotta dig and ya have access to someplace youd otherwise likely never have..thats all good....but the number of casualties littered all over the place, crushed unnecessarily by heavy equipment....that hurts the soul...lol
