the cowboys under Jones is not a football team. it's an enterprise and business has been extremely good. Dallas fans will buy merch and watch games irrespective of their results and Jones knows this. It's the most valuable brand in the U.S. and Jones cashes in on it every year by merely having a good regular season and making the playoffs. it keeps the suckers believing and paying.

Not a Cowboys fan, just an observation…If the NFL playoffs were double elimination, I think the Cowboys would actually thrive (as humorous as that sounds). As the Cowboys seem to routinely be the overconfident team that gets a reality check by losing early in the first round. Because of the pride hit they’d probably respond inspired to the beat-down though and be the team that battles through the loser’s bracket to make it to the Super Bowl...(sorry that’s not the current playoff structure Cowboys fans).
