Fiona was stuck at the bottom of a Scottish cliff for 2 to 3 years; dubbing her 'The Lonilest Sheep in the World'. She was perfectly healthy but her overgrown fleece was needing cut. After being rescued, her postive story made headlines around the world. The next day it was time to restore her to full health with a trip to the salon and finally, to her new home, where she will never be lonely again.

Those protestors saying people shouldn't visit Fiona are unaware of how people friendly sheep can be! Fiona is sweet, curious, and starved of affection. She needs visitors! The farm will manage it so she isn't overwhelmed and gets to just be a sheep with her new herd. ❤

Number one, they don’t actually know animals. Most farm animals are social, and don’t care whether they’re hanging out with a pig, a sheep, a cow, or even a human being. But maybe more importantly, if they’re trying to protect animals, and perhaps get them more humanely treated, and not eaten quite as often, then they should want the general public to have close contact with animals and keep the pressure on farms to treat them humanely. Anyway, nice job shearers!

it's not the ewes you've gotta worry about it's the rams had a particularly unruly one called Reuben that liked to climb into windows about a half story up from ground level and sitting on couches mafia style and ramming things.

They don’t care about Fiona. If they did, they would be concerned about the amount of hair that was growing in the issues that it was causing her because of the matting. They just wanted that opportunity to get attention.

I can't believe how calm she's been through the whole rescue and shearing. For a sheep that wouldn't have had that much human contact before she got stuck, she's been so tolerant and even cooperative of the help. I hope she continues to thrive with friends when she's had time to recover from the traumatic events.

i'm getting the impression she might've already been a year or two old at the time she got stuck down the cliff, she's really not skittish of humans so she's been around them enough already (prey animals, domesticated or not, do need a good bit of early and continued handling for that)

It's strategic, it keeps the fleece long enough to give her some warmth for the cold they still have and also means less likely to nick the skin as you have to move slower with the shears. Down side is of course it's slower which if her temperament was different this could have really stressed the poor ewe's body and could be bad as with that much wool it would be hard to check vitals and such. Was quite lucky she was such a calm ewe.

Awww, she looks beautiful now❣️ She even paused for a few seconds once she walked, as if to think “Oooo, I feel so light now!” Did she just wink at the camera at the very end of the video?😮😁 She was so perfectly behaved throughout her whole shorn. I think it helped hearing your calming voice and she might’ve sensed that you were helping her. God bless all of you who rescued her!😇🙏🏼🐑

Clearing out sheds on a derelict small holding we bought, we found antuque hand shears, and also an iron push-along potato / seeding "pram", and an old Welsh oven (iron pot and lid). Seeing these old skills in use is great, and good to see Fiona getting in the groove too.

Fantastic hand shear job & great to leave her in her undies - not naked! Cammie you are so gentle & caring & I love the way you talk to the sheep & explain what you’re doing. The rescue clip was great - my favourite bit was her nibbling at the grass through the hole in the bag on the way up! Beautiful temperament. Greetings from S Australia

So what if it's not the best-looking shearing job. Every action & decision ever taken has always been about doing the very best for Fiona. Plus, going to Dalscone Farm to live with sheep friends has benefitted Fiona so much. She's such a lovely lass with an amazing temperament, especially for a sheep who has never been used to human contact. Thanks again to everyone for rescuing Fiona & showing love & kindness towards her. Also, thank you for the updates on FB.❤😍
