The Elvis Honolulu concert was the first world wide live satellite concert, and over One Billion people were watching this show live ! You should check out what a generous humanitarian he was. He bought houses for people who were down and out, as well as giving away over 200 new Cadillac's as gifts. When he was drafted into the Army in 1958, he served his 2 years of duty with honor in Germany and never complained. Check out pictures of Elvis in his Tank ! He was a great American, and bigger than life. You do a fantastic job, and I love your Channel. 👍🏻🎸🎼

I introduced Elvis to all three of my children at very early ages, I'm talking toddlers in a car seat. This song was their introduction to Elvis. Each one bee-bopped to this song without provocation. They all love it to this day, and all teenagers. Burning Love's lyrics do burn through to the soul.

This show was seen in over 40 countries and had 1.5 Billion viewers still the most watched concert by one performer. All the money from this concert went to charity for Cancer care/research. Elvis even paid $1,000 for a ticket to donate, which back then was a lot.

It's the first concert broadcast via satellite. I was 8 years old and in Martinez, GA. MASSIVE ELVIS FAN THEN, NOW, AND ALWAYS. I begged mama to let me sit up to watch it (bedtime was 9 pm). I wore her down or she was probably always going to let me watch it, I don't know. But, I remember that she and I were in daddy's recliner, she pulled me into her lap and listened to her tone-deaf daughter belting out her lungs with Elvis. One of the best memories of my childhood.

It's amazing that he never performed outside of the states, yet he was one of the most popular artist of all time worldwide. A one would need more than just music for that to be the case.

Hello. That was such an energetic reaction! Believe it or not, there are only 5,000 people or so in that arena. Normally he's in front of 10 to 20,000. The stage set up was huge here. That's why the limited audience. There were no ticket prices. The audience was asked to donate what they could. They were asked to raise $25,000. They raised $75,000. That's over $500,000 today. Elvis and the band bought their own tickets as well. However, like people have said, over a billion people saw this broadcast.

I saw Elvis (3) time at the Chicago Stadium 1972,1976&1977 and twice at The Las Vegas Hilton in August 1974. Elvis’ look is timeless. His mannerisms, hairstyle would fit in even now. He also was one of the only superstars that during a live concert he would introduce the audience to gospel songs like How Great Thou Art and others. I just recently turned 65… time flys. Thank you for your reviews, you do a marvelous job. Take care!

I started listening to Elvis when I was 5 in 1962. Since that time I was able to go to 4 of his concerts. Two in 1971 and two in 1972. Amazing is not even close to describing watching Elvis live! If I Can Dream is my favorite and Can’t Help Falling In Love from the 1968 comeback special is number 2!

Great reaction and the history of this performance is mind blowing. As Reb and Brian pointed out this was beamed around the world. I believe at the time it was the first concert ever beamed by satellite to over a billion people. Check out some of Elvis on Tour footage. It's some of the best out there from his classic opening of See See Rider in the light blue jumpsuit, to his excellent performance of How Great Thou Art. There's so many great performances of his career that are endless. The clip from Elvis on Tour of See See Rider is pure magnetism of his stage presence, a god given voice, and a place in music history that will in my opinion never be matched. To see him in concert was special, I don't put anyone in God like status, but when he came on stage after his intro it did feel like something special just entered the building. Keep up the great work :):)

Nice Reaction, Hope you don’t mind, I’m gonna fill you in on a very important fact regarding this performance. This was a very unique performance that to my knowledge no single artist has never repeated to this day, If Elvis looks very nervous it’s was with good reason, this was a charity event for a cancer fund, and you say he was probably performing for 100,000 people, No try the whole planet 🌎, this concert was being shown live via satellite to the whole world, so Elvis was playing a strictly straight concert and no gimmick, jump suit was the American Eagle representing America the the world.

That was the biggest concert the world has ever seen. It was broadcast to 33 different countries. I believe over 3 billion saw this concert. He raised over a hundred thousand dollars for a charity . This was his biggest reason for doing this concert. To give back as he did constantly.. He loved people and wanted to help them... He was not just a singer. He was a humanitarian as well....

@raymondmartini5137 God is King, Elvis was a special talent that he blessed us with for 42 years. Then he had to go back to be with God. While here on earth, he became the greatest singer/entertainer that there ever was. Ever is, or Ever will be. Unless Jesus decides to do some singing on earth. Then he'd be the greatest. Until that happens, then Elvis is the best..

Love your reactions! Elvis originally didn't want to record Burning Love as he was still feeling down from his wife recently leaving him and wasn't in a "burning love" kind of mood, but he was convinced to sing it anyway, and the song made it to #2 on the billboard charts, becoming his last song to ever reach the Top Ten again. Suggestions for future videos that I would love to see from you: From the '68 Comeback Special--One Night With You, Trying to Get to You, If I Can Dream (white suit) From Las Vegas 1970--Polk Salad Annie, Love Me Tender, You've Lost That Loving Feeling, Just Pretend From Aloha From Hawaii 1973--American Trilogy, My Way, What Now My Love, and Fever. Sorry if that's a lot! I really love Elvis!😂😂😂

Carlie, hello. Love your Elvis reaction videos. You should take a trip to Tupelo Mississippi and visit the Elvis birthplace park. You get to tour his first home, his childhood church, and there's a gorgeous memorial chapel there. Oh, and you have to see the statue called Becoming. It's a statue of him as a little boy sitting in front of a larger than life statue of Elvis as a man in a caped jumpsuit. It's awesome! Just wanted to share this with you.

He played to audience's from 5,000 to 100,000. He shattered attendance records everywhere he went. This was 1 billion + because it was seen worldwide. Not sure what the attendance was here at this stadium, very well ,could have been 50,000. At the Houston Astrodome he set attendance records at 45,000. At the Silverdome in, is it Pontiac or Detroit Michigan, any way he set attendance records at 65,000. He played in the brightest lights, on the biggest stages.

I saw Elvis live in the early 70's. When I moved to LA from NY I met a guy and we became friends because we both liked to ride motorcycles. Turns out his girlfriend's dad was a Vice President of Arco. Arco owned the Forum in LA where the Lakers played and therefore he had a corporate box for all events there. The Forum was also the place where every rock and roll group always started and ended their world tours. Her dad went to all the sports events but wasn't into music so one day Mike told me his girlfriend had tickets for Elvis if we were interested. I grew up listening to Elvis starting in the late 50's and he was one of my musical idols so I jumped at the chance to get free tickets to see The KIng. The funny thing about the whole deal is that during the sixties Elvis didn't perform live and after his comeback in '67 when he did perform getting tickets for one of his shows was like getting an audience with the Pope so to have free tickets just land in my lap was really cool. To move cross country, meet and become friends with a random person whose girlfriend's dad had box seats for a concert that he didn't want to go to and to have them offered to me so I could see one of my childhood idols live is such a bizarre sequence of events that to this day I still look back on the whole thing as pretty remarkable. It's amazing that even at that point in his career he was still driving all the women crazy!
