It actually started even before this…which is crazy lol. Cash money vs Clipse started when Baby didn’t pay Pharrell for a beat and then Wayne stole Pharrell’s style with BAPE and Ice Cream…that’s when Clipse and Pharrell made the song “Mr me too”…..and it’s been on ever since….and think there’s a video on here detailing everything

As much money as Steve Jobs had, he still died from cancer. “You can’t fly without your wings”…. that was about Wayne leaving Cash Money and Birdman 🪽 Drake thought he was Beanie Sigel and thought he could battle for the label. As far as all-time diss records, idk if "Story of Adidon" or "Exodus" are in my top 10-20, but as far as effectiveness, both are amongst the greats. The way Pusha-T, when he really decides to go in on that whole Cash Money/Young Money team, and digs in these niggas' chests, is some real elite sh## lol. He never tries to out-bar them, but instead, peels back all the layers and just exposes them for the public to see. Its too bad Aubrey never answered back. I really wanted to see what that "Surgical Summer volume 2" was really about lol.

I remember when this first came out, I was in high school. This sht was so hard to me, easily one of the best diss tracks ever in my opinion. It’s underrated for real. It seems low-key prophetic when I listen to it now. Just because this was before Wayne’s contract situation was prominent in the media. And yeah it is about Wayne, idk why people call it a Drake diss, it was very clearly a direct Wayne diss when it came out. Then Wayne came back with Goulish.

Pharrell and the clipse go way back before either was famous. the beef started with birdman stiffing Pharrell on money he owed for a beat, then wayne claimed bape as his style even tho the clipse were wearing it first through nigo who is a friend of Pharrell, then drake as a show of loyalty to wayne started going at push, and wayne was also in this beef as a show of loyatal to birdman, this is inherited beef if I've ever seen it. it brewed for like 15ish years before it blew up the way it did.
