Lethal Cars ur comment just shows how people open there fuckin mouths with out knowin shit. the camaro is barely faster then the mustang now with 150 less hp on the mustang. so ur dout is dumb as fuck. just think bout shit bfor u make comments. look at the hp of each car look at the speed side by side n the video. the mustang would destroy the camaro if it had a supercharger on it.

Yes, but it is so close until 100 mph. :) Camaro has shorter gears than Mustang as well.

Both cars are killer I have an SS and a 5.0 gt and I have noticed that the Camaro is a superior road car in torque and speed but. Both are the pinnacle of engineering in their own right and it’s hard to say really if one is better than the other. Street style races the mustang is the superior car but out on a road course the 6.2 has a broader torque curve and pulls harder longer.

Lee the zl1 is a Racetrack specific design it basically was made for it. in fact in a straight line, it is at a disadvantage.

It’s called ZL one power which 650 hp and 650 pounds of torque versus 525 and I think my GT 350 R has 430 or 440 torque of course the ZL one is going to be slightly and dramatically faster

Man thats not fair that zl1 le is not naturally aspirated but the gt350r is fully naturally aspirated and people who start comparing b/w these two cars are the most dumb people in this world.Still getting this type of performance from 5.2l V-8 voodo is awesome and i pray that in future i would like to buy this car. Hands off to the SHELBY GT350R

For everybody saying that the Camaro is better because it hit a faster top speed think about this...the GT350 hit 169mph in 5th gear and the Camaro hit 173 in 5th gear, buttt whats sad is that the gt350 is N/A and the camaro is super charged, so Chevy's better because it went 4 mph faster while (super charged)while the gt350 was N/A...I'm a DieHard Ford fan but you got to look at the stats and statistics about the cars before you're going to comments and say which one is better

Aaron Shepherd I currently own a 18 GT350R & a 2018 ZL1 A10, both have their own attributes. The R is very specialllllllllll & is really rare. The ZL1 is rare but the R production numbers are very small.

I’m taking that camaro any day! Zl1 for the win. It’s a proper built v8 cam in block and cross plane crank. That’s old school muscle brought back to life!

This is from Chevy's website: www.chevrolet.com/performance/camaro-zl1-sports-car Shows top speed in the straightaway 168 MPH and a lap time of 7:16. Crazy awesome driving! Here's a 2016 gt350r with a lap time of 7:32... still amazing! But it's a prototype and doesn't have the carbon fiber wing (not sure how much that would have made a difference). Would love to see the drivers switch cars and compare lap times! Both cars are amazing!

Bro chev helped ford develop a 10 speed to put in the mustang chill. And the gt500 isn’t even manual. But regardless both cars are great and let’s cheer here we are muscle heads we like v8’s let’s keep them alive!

Insane Rides I think some car manufacturers advise you to take it easy on the RPM until the engine has a certain amount of km/miles on it. I guess that's not the case here? Regardless good vids, thanks

Yes, its with bikes too. But experts has a method called "Hard breaking" like first going 500 kms in less than half rpm then gradually increase rpm to mid to more rpm region for 500 kms then oil change then gradually to full rpm. Something like that. (I'm not being accurate). Still, i dig the sound the GT350R makes near redline and shifts!

Naturally aspirated engine vs. compressor ... what is the comparison?! 6th is too long for its power. Means, if we shift to 6th, then you start from like 170 mph (with mid rpm range) and take forever to go to 171 , 172 etc.

Yes max speed is (and has been for a long time) achieved in 1 down from the top gear in most cars. The top gear is usually reserves solely for fuel economy.

Ya the mustang sounds like an oversized rice burner, if GM was to put a flat plane crankshaft in the camaro sorry Ford boys you are still in the rearview, but GM keeps it american and not take the design of a Ferrari crankshaft to get a higher rev..

ripfletching the ZL1 looks far superior to the GT350 R. And in my opinion, the ZL1 sounds much better to me. Not too loud, not too soft. It's very deep. And I especially love the supercharger whine in the ZL1.

Now if only Ford cared enough about the people, including me, who wouldn't want to wait 5 years until the GT500 comes out, I wouldn't currently been haggeling about a ZL1. Kudos to those who have the patience and wait for a car that weighs 1900 kg, has a steel chassis and puts out a crazy 70 more hp than the Camaro, which can be undone by simple software tuning and an exhaust. I'm disappointed Ford, you lost a customer.
