@ram_sankar5 ай бұрын
He did. That was his second argument.
@ArticBlueFox965 ай бұрын
That was just Sheldon's opening statement. It is basically a thesis paragraph for his arguments. His first argument was that Penny is responsible for Sheldon's driving because Penny is the licensed driver and Sheldon only has a learner's permit, and that Sheldon was merely following Penny's instructions. His exact words were "I was improperly instructed in driving by a woman whose lack of respect for society borders on the sociopathic." While I think he was using some hyperbole here, I think he has a case in regards to this argument. His second argument was that he was performing necessary actions for the health and wellbeing of another, and the law makes exceptions for that. He ran a red light to get Penny to the hospital in an emergency situation, and that meets the criteria for such exceptions. His exact words were "the emergency met the legal doctrine of quod est necessarium est licitum, that which is necessary is legal." I think he also has a case here too. His third argument was that security cameras violate the 6th amendment because the 6th amendment says that you have the right to confront your accuser, and Sheldon is arguing that his accuser is a non-human object and therefore impossible to confront. I do not think he has any case in this argument. The Judge merely heard his opening statement and did not let him present the evidence for each of his arguments. Instead just declaring him guilty. Though when Sheldon insulted the Judge to his face after the Judge disregarded Sheldon's case, Sheldon was in contempt of court as determined by the subjective opinion of the Judge (Judges have too much power in our legal system).
@ArticBlueFox965 ай бұрын
@@steveross8364Um, No. First, Sheldon is an American, just like all Texans and anyone from any U.S. state or territory (whether by birth, naturalization, or just non-citizen residency). Sheldon was born a Texan, but Sheldon now lives in California and is therefore now a Californian, just like how someone born in California who moves to Texas becomes a Texan. Sheldon is an American in an American court with an American Judge, not a Texan in a California Court. Second, there are Democrat Texans. Being Texan is not synonymous with being Republican. Every state has a mix of Democrats and Republicans, though different States have different ratios of Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Third Party members, and unaffiliated people, and the same applies to the cities, suburbs, exurbs, and rural areas within these states. Though, I think a case can be made that the government of Texas does hate their Democrat citizens, given that they purposefully gerrymandered the State to disenfranchise them, as well as enacted other policies in a blatant effort to discourage voting by their Democrats (Texas would have gone blue in 2020 and 2022 without those interferences). The government of Texas also seems to hate their LGBTQIA+ population (especially their transgender population in recent years), their neurodivergent population, their immigrant population, their atheist population, their non-Christian population, etc... Democrats have been fighting for the rights of LGBTQIA+ Texans, neurodivergent Texans, immigrant Texans, and non-Christian Texans, etc... That is not hating Texans, that is loving Texans, and trying to protect them from the abuses of their government. Third, we do not know what Party Sheldon is, but he has expressed misgivings about how right-wing and religious his mother is, which are traits associated with the Republican Party in the modern day, which could imply that Sheldon is not a Republican. Given how Sheldon loves procedure and bureaucracy and authority, I think he is most certainly a voter, and he probably votes Democrat or Independent.

I had a day with a judge like that when I was 17. I tried to argue the officer could not know it was me that had done a bunch of donuts in a parking lot because he arrived after the event was complete and there was so much smoke he could not know it was me from the half mile down the street where he was originally parked. I was in the only car that was running in the lot when he got there and all my friends were standing around my car praising me and laughing. For the court appearance, I got my hair cut and put on a suit and everything. The judge did not miss a beat - "Guilty - pay the fine at the desk."

Guilty in hebrew means surety ..the judge placed ur body as surety of the charge ..undischarged it with a promissory note drawn on the federal reserve bank .. Its all business at the courts.. We lend our energy to be surety of the debt game bu laoning to banks..the govt controls this debt inflation by borrowing from the inflated debt and the cost of that borrowing we bear as surety by us as surety allowing the govy to pass statutes and codes ..which are debt adminsitrative instrument..this tax farming is delegated to the court sysrem..which act as a negative bank ( collecting on statute violations.from the bench ..meaning bank , banca.. idk whether the worst or best part is that if Sheldon wasn’t so condescending they wouldn’t throw him in jail 😭😭😭

This is the closet we see to Sheldon pulling his shctick in the real world and I love the punch line of why is Sheldon in Jail being answered as He does what he always does and everyone nods.

I was hoping that part was in this video, but it's not! Oh well. Gotta find it elsewhere.

I was also kind of hoping that his "That's my spot" would have been met with stone cold silent glares, like it probably would in real life!

@@shadowoflugia Or worse. But this was probably just a holding cell and the worst of the worst were not being held there.

All Sheldon needed was for someone to tell him, years prior, that even the highest Intelligence score does not compensate for a low wisdom score. Work on improving your wisdom score.

Sheldon forgot the defense of necessity. He committed harm (The traffic violation) in order to avoid a greater harm to penny. He isn't liable or guilty

"I'm following the law; I'm ignoring you." Sounds eerily similar to a quote from Capt. Kirk in "Trouble with Tribbles." Nilz Baris: Captain Kirk, I consider your security measures a disgrace. In my opinion, you have taken this entire, very important project far too lightly. Capt. Kirk: On the contrary, sir. I think of this project as very important. It is YOU I take lightly.
After the episode, I dont think ill ever feel bad for penny again

I love how Raj had the Law & Order transition. I used to think it was the sound of a jail cell door in Riker's Island jail, but it turns out it is many many things.
