Sheldon Park EOWS 612 Alternate Wail and Thunderbolt 1000b Growl test

6 жыл бұрынToday is November 4th, 2017. 10 years after this siren was put on KZfaq by the user Siren 1000t. After a quick restoration, this siren was ready to to off again for a test. While not completely finished with the restoration, it was still able to do the alternate wail. The clock I was looking at for the siren test was 10 minutes fast, so the sirens completely caught me off guard. It all turned out well in the end.
I am aware it sounds like the creepy pasta, Siren Head. Though this is not the origin of the sound effect or the story, I am aware it sounds similar to it.

Siren1000T hey it needs a little bit more restoration cause it sounds scratchy and it sounded better in the Sheldon November 3 2007 video at alternate wail I liked it when it sounded like it had different tones when it rotated and then when it was going down it made different tones

I wish I had the 2001 cause I went to the siren graveyard and I asked if the 2001from Livonia was there that was in that area but it was to late they already got destroyed and I was to much of a pain to fix

Before you comment, the siren is not sick in any way. At the time, the sound effect I used had a lot of reverberance therefore it sounded distorted, and my camera was overwhelmed by the volume of the siren. @@NuTriStAr2 same wail. very interesting to me that Chicago specifically decided to use an alternate wail for their tornado sirens when everyone else uses a standard wail, typically. nothing wrong with it, I just wonder what helped them make that decision.

Holy crap, that’s so cool! Your siren sounds really cool, and it’s great that you finally got your hands on it. I actually view that story more as a metaphor for community and our intolerance for disrespect, and yes. That is a really cool tone and a unique tone to the sirens. I think the mods do it too, but in any case, not many sirens can do that tone anyway, so I think it’s really cool.

Did u use a recording or, actual tone generator. You should borrow siren 1000t’s MC controller next time, so it’s the proper extremely loud cool setup

Alexander Goushy I used a recording from KZfaq. Dan and I have talked about that, and it would be awesome to connect his controller to mine. However, it’ll be very hard to do. Both siren and controller are *very* heavy and hard to move, and the ground conditions on my backyard don’t help

Mr Goomba Tam Official the sound is scratchy because the audio I used reverberates, which does not sound very good coming out the speakers. It was taken down by the city in 2008 during a system update, being replaced by a 2001

Mr Goomba Tam Official no. This video was filmed 10 years after siren 1000t filmed it back on the pole. It’s been sitting in the graveyard for almost 9 years. The restoration has been going on for about 3 months

Derek Wall The sound is coming from the siren. the amplifier does not have a speaker built in so it is connected to the siren, just like a phone connects to a speaker
