Sheldon is actually a lovely guy and sadly misunderstood by some people. Him singing some Adele songs on Instagram are amazing. He is an artist and he has a voice.

Thanks Nick! As you can see from the comments below, Sheldon’s talent is not fully appreciated in Australia. He is special, I just wish him really best chance of succeeding in his Eurovision quest. Sheldon is multitalented, like Lady Gaga, Kate Bush, he keeps control of his creative output image, voice everything - if that comes across as egotism - well maybe people need to check their own attitude. He’s a kid who is doing it on his own. The quality of his voice is unique.

I agree, I saw some of his voice performances and all they did was criticise his eccentric looks each week. I actually think he is too original an artist to have taken the talent show route, would have been better to keep the mystery.

Australia is still quite a conservative country. And a lot of the old generation are confused by his clothes, style and sexuality.

@@bobarris the 55-65 age bracket grew up on David Bowie, Elton John and Freddy Mercury, you would thing they would "get it" by now.

Absolutely happy he is in the national finals with "Not The Same" and WOW, what a beautiful ballad. He has such an angelic voice, gives me shivers. A true Australian treasure. He will be in top 5 if not winner at Eurovision.

I voted for him heaps because I loved his uniqueness he's got a killer voice. We have no one like him here. Whoever designs his outfits should be applauded👏. The wonderful Adam Lambert follows him 💕😌

Omg... he made it to the grand final on eurovision... omg "we're not the same"... is so freaking fantastic I play it over and over again... Sheldon is half Filipino half 🇦🇺... a true male diva.. you gotta here the grandfinale Eurovision "we're not the same"... a HUGE VOICE... YOU'LL love ❤ trust me.

I just love hearing Sheldon sing I truly believe that he has one of the most incredible voices on the planet today. If you would like to check out some more great songs that he has done for starters I recommend that you check out some of the songs that he sang on Australia's Got Talent. The duet that he did with the young girl (Makalia) not sure about the spelling, sorry is incredible as well. I love them all. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Sheldon Riley is an amazing singer. He deserves more recognition then he currently has, although, I do believe we will be hearing more from him going forward. There is no doubt, he is an amazing artist.

Sheldon's cover of Boy George's song Do you Really Want To Hurt Me was superlative. George was really emotional about it. Sheldon made it slower & sadder than George's original

He's Ok BUT when Sheldon realizes that the earth doesn't evolve around him he might just go somewhere. When he got knocked down twice here in Australia on the Australian voice he got a chip on his shoulders & he left for America and tryed America's got talent and Simon Cowell gave him a rub down, Sheldon thinks he's better than what he really is. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT HERE AND THERE SHELDON. 😐🇦🇺

He’s actually a lovely guy and very humble - but he knows he has a gift, and anyone who isn’t one deaf knows that too. He just needs the right break - he should have won The Voice 2018 - where the hell is that Sam guy now anyway. Sheldon was just too much for the mainstream TV audience.

Oh lololol, he is in Eurovision now and absolutely NAILING it. Joke's on you 'cause all those competitions only expanded his fandom and he has definitely grown as an artist. I don't know what you hear or from where your so called opinions come, but you still gotta respect an artist (like them or not, it's your business) for doing what they love. He is an icon and has all the love from overseas (India)💗.

Totally agree with you Nick! Sheldon is trying to break into the international market and there’s a larger appreciation for individualism overseas rather than in Australia. Aspiring to be different and unique shouldn’t be labeled as weird or egotistical.

Sheldon is really unique in his own way You dont need to come here and call him stupid.I mean i dont think you can do better than him. HE IS SO POWERFUL and doesn't deserve any criticism for expressing himself the way he chooses to do so I love Sheldon Riley's music so much and i admire his glory and creativity in his UNIQUE costume Thank you
