This video has been passed over to me by a good friend of mine, his name is, Ruairi Cahill, he filmed, produced and edited this documentary. Hope this brings back those magic memories, and goosey tingels, Big Love, respect to each and every one of you for helping me to experience the vibe of the dance floor X
There was no scripting and it was filmed in one take. Music provided by Dj Nick Sheldon, spot on mix Nick thumbs up.....
The Shelleys Laserdome story runs deep in the blood of UK clubbers. It's 1990, the young people of an industrially battered area of the city, Longton, form a fresh revolutionist reality. A revolution of love, which out of it blossomed a golden dawn of dance music culture in the city. An underground pact of music and togetherness was established, places were the people could break free from the scorns of Thatcher's Britain were exploding all over the UK. Shelleys was one of these unique clubs, its impact shaped a generation of life, love, success and controversy, a defining moment in the cities history.
A 2015 Interview with Amnesia House / Entropy resident DJ, Daz Willott, paints an emotionally charged picture of an explosion of the club scene that transformed the then 23year old man's life and the whole of the UK by storm. Celebrating 25 years of Shelleys as an iconic part of UK club culture, Funk-Soul Media portrays the Shelleys 25th Reunion Party visuals in a heart pacing, raw documentary style.

im a stokie myself and i lived down the road from shellys so i could walk there i loved the place was there every fri night and then entropy on longton bustation i love the 90s and loved the djs i remeber you daz willot with mc leathal the best nights of my life will never get them back but i have all the memories and im also now a dj because of my experiences in the 90s much love to you all reach for the sky safe as f$&k lol xx

Totally agree mate! Daz is certainly a legend and to this day my favourite Dj still,he definitely knew how to work the crowd with his sets,Stoke on Trent was the rave capital back in the day!! Respect to all the oldskool..👊

I was there many nights including the night where N-Joi played, used to sleep in the car in the carpark after until the sun came up then drove home in a haze, those were definitely the days

Jollees.. Shelley's... Entropy... Amnesia House... Club Kinetic... Golden... Valie's... The Void ... Ritzy's... The Place... Zanzibar... Maxim's... Renaissance... and ooo eck what was that club up 'castle (opposite the multi storey) that Boy George was resident at for a while??? Time & Space?? Whatever happened to those glory years, to the misery of now?? I'm off drop some poppers in the hope Altern-8 are doing a set I'm the car park... then driving down to Westport Lake to see which Cossie or Nova had the best bass bins to keep the choons rollin till dawn.....

man it was nuts the vibe. i was at the altern8 night as well although i dont remember... going to the services after asking people for rizla's lol. but one winter we drove from buxton and got stuck in the snow after. ended up staying overnight in a police station and got invited into the police canteen in the morning to have some breakfast as the roads were shut. we were still high as kites and sat next to uniformed coppers eating food pretending we werent hammered. mad days.

RIP Pete Timmis. I used to travel down from Wales every week to go the Shelley's Daz. At the end of the night we used to go back to Pete's flat. They were the days brother. Do you remember the night the Word turned up and we all told them to f@ck off. Have a great day my friend.

unfortunately longton is now full of homeless people… a no go zone after dark… back then nobody went to longton until it was dark…. Whistle power raise the roof!!! and thx to the HOMEBOY!

Mental to think that longton had 2 iconic clubs in rave culture didn’t make it to shellys was to young but did kinetic when 15 in 95 catching the train and staying in the station till the first train about 6:30 back to north wales was a regular then

I think it helped and inspired us to shape most of our life's, we was all so lucky, to have experienced them few hours every weekend, of us been togetherness, it helped make us who we are today, respect one love ❤ 🙏

What a fuckin night fellas 😵‍💫😉 Do you remember When channel 4’s Word show turned up with all the fuckin models dancing in front of the cameras and we all told them to do one 😂 The Best times!
