Hey I appreciate the variety of shells that you showed. Other bloggers wasnt as lucky. As for the olive shells with no crowns I would make a bracelet and necklace out of those. We is was there. Thank you so much for all you do. I really enjoy everyone of them.

It's amazing how the tides and the weather can change the landscape. We have a cut like that called Hurricane Pass. Self explanatory. I think that's a good haul.

I was shelling on the north end of Ft Myers Saturday and Sunday (7/18 & 19) and got really lucky. Went to San Carlos/Bunche beach early this morning--7/20 (it was absolutely gorgeous out) and found a ton of live crowns and three empty ones. Saw a massive horse conch, but had a crab inside--it was beautiful. I also found lots of mini cones, so I was happy. Was back at north end of Ft Myers beach later today, and didn't find anything. At least the weather's been nice in the morning/early afternoon.

It's been extremely hit or miss for me too! I haven't been over to Bunche in a while - we normally only find live critters there - not so much in the shell department. We went for a walk not long ago just south of the FMB pier and we found a whole bunch of good stuff. I couldn't believe it! Yes, the mornings have been delightful and afternoons not terrible. The storms are around but at least it doesn't rain all day right?

Fun finds...always enjoy seeing your videos. For a treat sometime you should do the shelling tour on Treasure Seekers in Goodland....we went in June and wow!!! It was our second time and neither trip disappointed..it is pricey though!

We went on a shelling tour earlier in the year and chose a different company due to price. Hopefully one day we can meet up with the Treasure Seekers. We got to see the Dome Homes and dolphins and was an all around great couple of hours!

There are shells on this beach- but I loveeee the spiky conch shells, every year me and my brother love searching for shells and clams and sea crabs. Nice finds! one quick question though- what is that on 9:36 ?

At 9:36, that is a live sand dollar. You can see all the little hairs on the underside moving around. That's what they look like when they're alive. I had never seen a live one until I moved here!

I just got back from a week in Sanibel and I literally found 4 decent shells the entire week! Never seen the shelling this bad.

I KNOW!!! We were on Sanibel Saturday and we found SOME shells, but it's been a bit thin lately. I assume it's because it's summer but hopefully a good storm will come through and shake some things up!

@@SWFBeachLife Because i live in Romania :) Thing is most of seashells are small pieces because of the waves, but i found a snail shell kinda like a ring.

As always, so much fun watching. Would you say there is a better time of the year...specific months etc. I’ll be coming a long way and I don’t want to mess up and come when there are no shells.

When I stopped at the Shell Museum, I BRIEFLY reviewed a little display regarding shelling and the time of year. I believe it said that the summer months aren't as plentiful as the winter months and I have found this to be the case! I will go back to the museum at some point to really study the display, but lately (summer) I have had a really hard time finding shells easily. I'll find them, but it really does feel like it's more scarce that it was in the winter months. However, winter months down here are very crowded. I have yet to be down here an entire year yet, but from my experience so far, I have found the best shelling to be in the fall/winter months.

Great video I have one question I always thought if you find shells in the water that means they’re still alive and something is living inside of it please let me know if I’m wrong thank you love the videos keep them coming♥️

You can find shells either on the beach or in the water and you do have to check to make sure they're empty! Sometimes the creature is still alive or a hermit crab has taken up residence. If the shell is empty it's okay to keep but if there is a creature in the shell it has to stay at the beach.

We've went or the beach about 3 times this month and I wish I can find amazing while shells like this. Instead all I find is pretty rocks to take home and collect. Lol maybe one day I don't know about those crabs thise though. Lol

I am quite spoiled! Lately I've had the opportunity to shell with other people who get so excited about any of the shells. I definitely appreciate how lucky I am! There is always SOMETHING to bring home and enjoy!

A sunray venus clam! There are over 400 species of this type of clam so I'm not surprised!

So this is what I’m expecting to find during my Fort Myers vacation this weekend. :( how’s the summer shelling going this summer season? Also, Is there any parking in southern Fort Myers beach?

It's been VERY slow in the shelling department but if you get in the water and either scoop or feel around, you very well might find some goodies. There is public parking on a few side streets and sometimes the hotels (The Wyndham) will offer parking in their lot too.

The Southern most lot would be at The Wyndham. It’s usually $10 to park there. There isn’t really anything south of that as far as parking, which is why it’s always a really long walk!
