I’m from the Oklahoma City area and one of the local radio stations switched from album rock to country when this song was released and legit played this song for the first several hours. I don’t remember now how long but it was a long time, like 8 hours or so, just over and over again.

David's brother Lefty Frizzell is a Hall of Famer. He influenced George Jones, Merle Haggard and everyone after them. (It's friz'-ZELL, by the way)

Back in the mid 80s, a rock station in Oklahoma City changed their format to country. They played this song for 24 hours straight.

When I was stationed in California their “cowboys” were called dress me up, f**k me, Barbie doll cowboys 😂😂😂 We noticed things they didn’t have that we had they had no farm or ranch history and we noticed they didn’t have clauses on their hands from work.

Baby his last name is pronounced frizz as in my hair has a bit of frizz then ell. frizz-ell. He comes from a musical family. And you can't say enough about Shelly West. She played the Opry every time they had a show after she stopped touring. She had a fantastic voice. ❤❤❤

Thankß Tasha, one of my very favorite duets. So well written you can feel the distance between them. Penned by famous husband and wife songwriting Boudleaux and Bryant, they have had hits in all genres. Song was also covered by Blake and Miranda.

He is the brother of Lefty Frizzell, and she is the daughter of Dottie West. They were good singers and this is a good song, but honestly I cant' think of another song they did... but I guess that's just me.
