Shema is Hebrew word for hear or listen, the first word in Deuteronomy‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬ “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” I google it after to be precise, shema is a Hebrew word that means "hear" or "listen". It is the first word of the Shema, a well-known Jewish prayer that is a central part of morning and evening services. The Shema is made up of three passages from the Torah: Deuteronomy 6:4-9, 11:13-21, and Numbers 15:37-41, along with other prayers. ‭‭
