"Inspector Kapil Khanna is an honest police officer. He lives a middle class life with his wife Devi. Devi gives birth to a boy but later finds out that the child has been switched with a baby girl named Lakshmi. Kapil refuses to look after the baby girl and the Court asks a woman named Bantho to look after her. Now, twenty years have passed and the case is still pending in the court. Kapil finds out that his missing son is none other than Om Narayan who has been brought up by the evil Dalpat Dalal, his nemesis. Will Kapil sacrifice his honesty to meet his son?
