It's finally out! Shenmue 2 is a great game, and I wanted to share that sentiment with as many people as possible! With that said, if you're planning on watching this whole thing in a single sitting, maybe bring some popcorn! (*And with that said, I'm going to aim to get a Shenmue 3 review out one day!)

Great work! I recently uploaded a video called "A History and Review of Every Shenmue Game" and that video was two hours long, here you've talked about just Shenmue 2 for two hours, and you're planning on doing every game as well? Insane! I'm glad there are still so many people talking about Shenmue online even today.

After finishing the video the fighter at the cage in the yellow head building is kinda weird to me looking back after the third game. Supposedly that guy uses the same martial arts style as Lan Di and when I heard that I assumed it was a subtle way of the game saying Ryu stands a chance against Lan Di or at least more of one than he did back in Japan. Honestly I think someone should tell the creator that we'll happily take a redo of shenmue 3 made in the original engine over what they ended up doing especially with the fight with Lan Di being a huge let down for me personally.

You're extremely hard-working, and this review made my day. Shenmue II is my favourite game of all time, and I had a lot of fun watching this. Langhuishan (Guilin) is my favourite area of the game though!

Do it. I don't think you will regret it. I've spent meany many hours in this game. The only downeside is it may leave you hooked and frustrated that there is no conclusion yet. Totally worth it though.

Honestly it bothered me that the Wude were basically made up for the game and aren't actually real principles

I usually just swapped between the languages of 2 in the settings since Fangmei and Shenhua's voice didn't make much sense in the dub. As far as scope / length / something like it (besides the yakuza series, never played em) there's always Sleeping Dogs. Large amounts of audio, Hong Kong setting, running sequences and even over-budget issues and lack of a sequel.

I agree on the dub voices, I like most of the main cast but the side characters can really miss the mark at times. Sleeping Dogs has been on my list of games to play for a while, planning to give it a go once I'm done with Shenmue 3!
