In the courtroom, Norton threatens Sherlock Holmes, and swears to kill the detective before the execution takes place. Although Norton has murdered five wives, his sixth wife still believes in his innocence. Shortly after she delivers Norton a Christmas pudding at his request, the convict escapes, despite the many precautions that prison authorities had taken.🕵️♂️

#Sherlock Holmes was a detective television series aired in syndication in the fall of 1954, based on the Sherlock Holmes stories of Arthur Conan Doyle. The 39 half-hour mostly original stories were produced by Sheldon Reynolds and filmed in France by Guild Films, starring Ronald Howard as Holmes and H. Marion Crawford as Watson.

I liked seeing Watson's concern for Holmes' safety and wanting to stay close to protect him. The fun is watching Watson's frustration because Holmes keeps sending him away to keep HIM safe. But good for Watson for stopping Norton before he could get away.

If I'd have been the prisoner, I'd have gone across the English channel to France for a couple of years, then come back to England to take my revenge. Going straight from a jailbreak to the house of someone you've just threatened sounds the dumbest thing imaginable.
