By going the extra mile to find specialist help for Sherpa you have helped him getting rid of all 18 bad teeth and the discomfort! Do not feel bad about not knowing how much needed fixing. You only knew about the one tooth that you were told about. Thanks to your quest and love he is on the mend!☺❤

Now the maintenance to assure the others stay where they are. I'd review what is best to feed to avoid decay. Older dogs rarely tolerate brushing weekly.

Between his arthritis and his teeth it has been a truly painful, and exhausting year for Sherpa. As each was treated we all noticed his spark coming back

Its really good how Sherps has bounced back from this big operation. He's done really well with his meds & of course Jamie has done all of the TLC & lots of kisses. I'm so proud of Sherps & you also you as well Jamie for all of your hard work plus all of the continued work you've got to put in. Hopefully no more vet visits for a while??? It’s so fortunate that you have successful KZfaq channels because the overwhelming majority of pet owners couldn’t begin to afford Sherpa’s medical, therapy, and dental bills. I was so lucky that my Beagle lived for 19 years with only her annual vet visits. Great to see Sherpa doing better. Happy for you and Sherpa.

Jamie you absolutely made the right call to take Sherpa to a specialist. Nothing against your regular vet. But, this was a big deal with an older pet. We are are all relieved with you and elated at his progress and how quickly he is bouncing back and feeling better. 🥲❤️🐾 --Paula in Ohio USA 🙋

That vet could have killed Sherpa, she deserves to be called out and held fully accountable!!!!!!!!! Thank God for the specialist that actually knows what they are doing. I would get him a new vet immediately! Who knows how many animals suffered or died at their hands? How can they see all that bacteria and going in his bloodstream and do nothing! Some people should never be around animals. They just rather take your money and keep them medicated and sick so they keep getting paid.

@@valeriebrathwaite8541 wow! That was quite the rant. But, as I recall, Sherpa's vet is the one who gave the specialist referral. And, I don't know how the vet system works in the UK. But, as far as human health care goes in the US, a lot of the availability of doctors had shifted a bit. I still see the same doctor for 10 years. But, she had started referring me to different specialists instead of tackling everything herself. Vets maybe experiencing the same overload. I no longer have a pet because I can no longer provide all one needs. I'm handicapped and on SS. Jamie can and does provide for Sherpa. Frankly, he and Sherpa eat better than I do and have a lovely home and garden. We all know how much Sherpie loves his garden. And we are thrilled Jamie and Sherpie now have their little sanctuary and home-base. But, still good for them to get out and about on a regular basis, which they do even now. I think the vet has a lot of patients, just like doctors. And, sometimes they have to spread their time a little too much for anyone's good, including their own. So, based on my understanding, she/he did the best they could. But, when it became clear Sherpa needed treatment the vet wasn't sure they could provide, that's where the specialist came in. So, let's not be too judgemental of the regular vet. And, let Jamie decide what is best for Sherpa. He is and has been doing a fantastic job! Love, hugs to kisses for both these boys. And, our Sherpa is bouncing back beautifully! 🥲❤️🐾 --Paula in Ohio USA

Super happy to see Sherpa nice and relaxed in the back seat on the way home. ☺️💖 My husband and I are excited about getting Sherpa coffee mugs! We can't wait to get them! One bright yellow for me and a beautiful teal for him. You guys are always putting smiles on our faces and now we can look at Darling Sherpa's face all day long!!! Take as much time as you want or need to catch up on things. None of us care about a time frame.... We just want you two to take care of each other and be happy and healthy!!! ❤💖❤💖❤💖💕🥰😍

Sleeping better, eating better, no ache, no infections all thanks to professional treatment by a specialist! So glad you got him the right kind of help. Not doing anything or using the first vet would have had a really poor outcome! Good luck with the brushing!☺❤

Sherpa has his "tactics" to delay leaving his beloved garden! The soft wet food + your added cooked toppings are easier for his chewing now minus 18 teeth - and apparently his new fave! As long as hepatic (liver) friendly, that seems a win-win for Sherpa. Your TLC is the extra boost with his recovery!

I’m so glad Sherpa is doing so well. Our 12 yo English Mastiff Allie is currently dealing with vestibular disease (severe vertigo in dogs). It’s been very scary, heartbreaking, and exhausting. Luckily she is expected to fully recover. Our babies deserve the best 💕

It's absolutely great that the checkup went so well.🥰 I understand you Sherpa, no one wants to go back to the place where they lost most of their teeth, but they know that it's about their health. I can say it again and again, he is such a big and grown-up boy. Aww so cute how Sherpy lets Dad brush her teeth. Jamie when you asked Sherpa to go toilet and he didn't he was just being a typical teenager not doing what his parents told him to do. The look he gave you after the appt when he didn’t seem to want to get in the van, reminds me so much of our girl, Tala. You know how strong Huskys are. She would pull against me and even lie down. She’d only get up when she was ready. Also on walks. If she got tired, she’d lie down even in the middle of our lane! Neighbors would drove up, stop and tell her to get her butt up! It was aggravating at the time but good memories now. God Bless🦋

Sherpa is in perfect health and everything is well with now he go back to his garden/ castle and rest enjoy his day sherpa is a lord so he can do what he wants to do plus get chauffeuring by Daddy ❤❤😂😂
