There was a unconditional treaty between indian and Pakistan army that during harsh winters both sides empty their high altitude bunkers and comes at low attitude , mainly between November to June, but in 1999 when both sides empty their bunkers to go down , pakistan cowardly broke treaty and crossed the border and occupied 140 indian empty posts and bunkers, and in June when Indian army started going to uphills again after arrival of summer they were attacked from thousands feet heights .

Those 7 rounds around the fire pit(agni dev= fire god) are 7 promises one has to make. Bride asks Groom to promise her 7 things. 1st she asks to take her with him(groom) on all the religious pilgrimage or while performing any kind of prayers he is going to perform after marriage if he's ready she's ready to walk with him. 2nd If you respect my parents like you respect yours, will walk on path of Dharma I'm ready to walk with you. 3rd If you'll be with me till the end(till you get old with same love and care) and feed me as it's your duty I'll walk with you. 4th Till now you were free from any of responsibilities, now that you're about to tie knot with me, you'll have to take responsibilities for all the needs of family in future. If you're ready to do so walk with me. 5th If you're ready to take my advice in managing finance of the family and get me involved into managing the same I'd walk with you. 6th If I'm with my friends you'll never come there and insult me in anyway, you'll stay away from all bad habits if you agree to do so I'll walk with you. 7th you'll consider elder women as mothers, those who are of your age as sisters and those younger than you as daughter. You'll never share the love we will share as husband and wife with anyone apart from me. If you're ready for that I'll walk with you. Without these promises Hindu marriage is incomplete, usually priest says all these in Sanskrit language and bride and groom just nod and do the 7 rounds around fire. Groom ties a necklace around Brides neck it's more like ring in western cultures if you see that necklace made out of gold (which has black beads in it) it means she's married. She'll also wear green bangles, will have small toe ring, a red dot on her forehead which all means she's married. 7 vows Loosely translated idk why you ask such questions which require year and half to reply to. 😢

@@justanotherarmyvet2.0 don't expect it to be the exact translation because 1. My English isn't that good. 2. Sanskrit is complex language and translating it to a western language is very complicated. There are words which don't have direct English words for them, I've to work around and make a sentence which can make sense for you. 3. The English which we use is very different from what you guys use,so some things might not make any sense for you. For example: for us 1st floor is the floor above the ground where you've to take stairs to reach. For you it is 2nd floor. We call American 1st floor as ground floor in our english. For us rubber is eraser but in America it's something else. If it was any of Indian language I'd have translated it for you in better way.

One more interesting story... Since it's a good discussion..... Actually the pak general .. gen parvez Musharraf was an officer in siachin during 1984.... India took over 2/3 part of siachin glacier ( Operation Meghdoot) and gen Musharraf had a rage of it since then.. later when he became general.. without even telling to his PM Nawaz Sharif... Without sharing to his Navy and Airforce.... He ordered to capture posts in Kargil ... Later when India fought back... It became very difficult for Pakistan ... To accept that... Then Musharraf requested Sharif to go to USA .. and tell US prez to intervene... Bill Clinton called Indian PM and asked for a ceasefire otherwise pak might use nuclear weapon.. ( this is what pakistan would have narrated to Clinton) but indian PM Vajpayee ji said.. " I don't mind if we loose few parts ..may be states.... But I can assure you that..Pakistan won't be able to see the Sun next day..🇮🇳🔥... And nobody used nuclear weapon... It was just a threat... ! We knew it... N we took back all our posts...! Pakistan can't win a conventional war against us... That's why they use a policy called.. war of thousand cuts... This is what they do in Kashmir... ! I hope the peace prevails.. we really want good neighbours... This is how we can grow as a nation...! .. m sorry if I overexplained this ..! Usually I don't comment in any video.. but mam.. u always reply.. and respect and read our comments... That's y I thought to explain it to u..! God bless u😋😋🙏🙏 Jai Hind🇮🇳🙏

1. This was the time India asked US for GPS access so that we can check the actual position of Pakistani troops, the US govt denied the access.. that was the time, prime minister of India decided to create it's version of GPS and now we're among the few countries who has it's navigation system.. 2. The Israel helped India with Bofors guns at that time. Israel within no time delivered Bofors to India, that's why you will never find a single anti Israeli in India except from the peaceful community, u know what I mean.. 3. In Hinduism, the Fire is treated as pure. None of the germs can survive in fire. So, in Hinduism we take 7 rounds of fire, each round with a pledge in presence of Fire with Vedic mantra.. so 7 pledge and 7 rounds... In sikhs they take 4 rounds and 4 pledge.. In Jainism, there are 5 rounds with 5 pledge.. that's the concept basically.. You would be surprised to know that the word navigation derived from Sanskrit word Navic, which is the official name of our indigenous navigation system.

In mountains... The height advantage is 1:6 (i.e. if u want to capture a mountain with 1 enemy on that height... U have to go with 6 men... Then there is a fair chance that one of them would reach on top) ..but here the ratio was 1:10 because of steep climb and difficult terrains... I have seen the terrains... It seems impossible to fight there with that steepness..taking cover... That's why we lost 527 bravehearts... In the war...

This was our Normandy. An impossible situation made possible by warriors and heroes. Had Pak held those points, it would have made life hell for the Kashmiris and the army. Nothing would have stopped them from making further advances. Just like Normandy, the enemy was had a major strategic advantage and was fighting on the defensive. They had better weapons, equipment, position but they lacked the one thing that wins wars i.e a heart and better men. I still don't know how India managed it. It seems incomprehensible to me how we defeated someone on high ground in a matter of 3 months but then that is the Indian Army. I personally do not believe in reincarnation but since Captain Batra seemed like he did, I do hope he is born again.

The thing I want to point out is: America was never with us, America is still the same, they are still refering Pakistan as their strategic ally. Chinese Rise is also a mistake of America to provide them open excess to their market but still they aren't giving excess to India. The 3 trillion dollar economy is against USA's will India has made it. Common Americans need to understand a few facts. US has scolded hitler multiple times but they end up becoming one or even worst by supporting mass Bangladeshi Genocides and still not recognising it is just an example. Pakistan fight to us with American weapons and F16 , not chinese weapons.

Geneva treaty and Geneva convention is same... But ths Shimla agreement happend in 1972 between India and pak.. after 1971 war.... Acc to Shimla agreement... Both armies should retreat during winters from their sides because of unbearable cold of -50 -60 degrees... In 1999 after winters in May last and June... When we try to get back there they all had height advantage ..and they dominated the initial war because they were prepared.. it took few weeks to make out that it's not some intruders capturing few posts.. it's army involved capturing 140 posts... Equipped with heavy artillery... But after that india too responded with Arti and Air force ... After that it was just a matter of time.. n we retook all our posts..

The area where all this happened is called Drass sector and the highest mountain peak in this sector is Tiger hill. The second highest peak was Tolloling.. The tiger hill was almost impossible to recapture without the capturing.. The sikh and Gurkha Regiments were given the chance as they were deployed in high mountains but due to high shelling, the attempt went in vein.. heavy casualty on our side.. Then enters the Dad of pakistanis, the Rajputana rifles, Tolloling recaptured.. and then our troops engaged the Tiger hill from Tolloling.. Tolloling not just helped in engaging but used as watch tower to keep an eye on tiger hills.. J&K rifles, ( Jammu and Kashmir rifles) then performed the Tiger hill surgery.. and Pakistani army chief applied for asylum in UK.. he never returned back to pakistan since then... 😁

India could have finished this war within a matter of hours. But US didn't let us use aircraft and US were supporting Pakistan and saying that those were terrorists not Pakistan army occupying Indian posts. US also cut GPS systems of Indian army during the war. Israel came for help and also Russia supported us in international forums. US wants India and Pakistan to keep fighting, so that they can sell weapons to both countries. But India opted for Russian weapons. So US's propagandas didn't work.

@@justanotherarmyvet2.0 Can you see the irony here...? Our aircraft, our war but we have to take permission from the US to use it. But when US bombs civilians in middle east, they don't have to take permission from anyone. World order is so f@cked up. That's why we need rebellious powers like Russia, North Korea or China to keep those yankees in line. I just hope you didn't have to kill any innocent civilians when you were in the army. 🙏 200,000 civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, 2 millions in Vietnam, 200k innocent civilians in Iraq. I hope God punishes US for its sins one day. 🙏

In this war, America refused to give us GPS satellite service, but Israel helped us, after this we made our own GPS satellite indigenously and today West ask us to support in their causes. Why should we?

There's a reason.... Actually that time USA was a better ally of Pakistan... And don't forget india did nuclear test previous year(1998).. followed by many sanctions by USA and the world...! We knew USA won't help us that time... n that's okay... This is how diplomacy works..... USA that time didn't believed us that we have threat from pak and china... And islamic terrorism... They only believed it after two years (9/11)... And in Iraq.. Afghanistan.. n many more.... So the point is... That's okay that happens in diplomacy.. today USA is a better ally of India than pak.. (it was more Better in trump's administration though😅)... But that's ok..if u r right... Everybody will recognise that fact..it may take time. Now pak hardly has any allies... Apart from China and turkey...) Chinese are also leaving from pak now.. because of terrorism.. Hope the peace and positivity prevails..! Jai Hind🇮🇳🙏
