Sherwood Pines - A tour of the whole Viking Trail (Blue Route) 4K

As requested, a non stop tour of the Viking Trail at Sherwood Pines. I think it's about 6/7 miles in total. Ideal for families or beginers but just as nice for more seasoned riders.

Wait your going to be in the London marathon? Thats amazing! My current teacher in school was in 2 of the London marathons, even placing 12th in one. I hope you do great in it! Anyway. Another great video man. Keep it up!

Thanks for your guides Mark, much appreciated, I’m a complete novice mtb’er at 62! Not ridden a bike for over 40 years, [got lost in motorcycle world] but now firmly hooked, just been doing easy trails like High Peak and Tissington but looking forward to visiting Sherwood Pines and trying out the blue route.

I ride here quite often and done few Parkruns here too. The Blue has been much improved since this Vid'. The first 1/3 or so being a completely different route. I think if they get around to doing something with the last bit it would actually be a really good little XC route.

It has indeed Tony, and the first 3 stages of the Blue are some of the best at the trail centre. I regularly ride parts of the red & blue by mixing them up. You can easily do the first 2 sections of the red, cut across to the blue start, drop onto the rock drops on the red, then back onto the blue making a really great trail. I'm also a regular parkrun runner and love this trail. It's hard but rewarding. Totally agree the last bit needs some work, as it's basically the green route finish. The alternative line was part of the now running route and was much better. Still a great place to ride/run. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment :)

Hi! I'm a starter at mountain biking and recently got a GIANT Talon 3 hardail, and put some rockshox suspension on it , any tips? (I'm 12,so literally just started )

Just ride it and enjoy it. When you get to the point that you feel your ready to progress then there are thousands of videos on KZfaq to help you get better at certain things. Don't get too hung up on upgrading everything until you feel You're pushing the bike to the limits or something wears out. The best advice us just keep going out as often as you can and you're riding will improve 😊

I've never done the blue route, where does it start? I did the red route on Saturday and my drivechain sounded like death after the first section 😂

You follow the green for a couple of sections and then the blue branches off to the right - signposted the Viking trail

Some work being done on what I think will be the start of the new Blue. Looks pretty good from what I could see. As soon as it's complete i'll do another Blue vid.

Yeah, a few bits have changed over the last 18 months or so. They've opened up an older part of the red after the Donkey Wolloper and changed a few other bits
