In fact, all the DLC courses use a lot more polygons than the 32 original tracks. When designing the original courses, they probably didn't know how much the console could handle, so they played it safe. While for the DLCs, they already knew the technical limitations so they could be a lot more creative. To be fair, rendering the city is probably extremely cheap. Each building only consists of only a couple of polygons. And they can reuse the same models and textures over and over again.

@@elliottjewell5898 Well, I assume the track design was probably one the most time consuming aspects of this game's development. So, when they started designing the courses, many of the potentially ressource-intensive features like lighting effects and physics were most likely not implemented yet. Of course, they knew the performance limitations of their console, but they couldn't know beforehand how much resources the finished game would actually need.

Amazing how capable the system really is, it's processing 11AI racers, 12 carts and Characters (given all but your character are slightly lower poly) facial expressions and animations, processing physics, lighting, filters, the stage and it's animations and multiple animated NPC's all while saving replay data. Mute city doesn't even seem possible with that hardware.

Hey KZfaq Algorithm! Stop being stupid and recommend more Boundary Break episodes! To Shesez: I've been a fan of the series since the Dark Souls episode. As a kid, I was always fascinated by what sort of secrets were hidden outside of the bounds of a game (I obsessed over the watchtower in the Dam level of GoldenEye, and it felt so satisfying to use a GameShark and get to explore it on my own). What I'm trying to say is, your series has scratched that itch for me, and thank you for all the effort you put into it, even when things are going topsy-turvy in your life. Keep up the good work!

Rainbow Road 64 is my all time favorite track. It’s so beautiful. Reminds me of Christmas! All the lights, colors, and trains. I didn’t realize they put so much effort into it. 😍

After watching your other videos and seeing how usually just what you can see normally is rendered, everything behind that is either not there or just a flat texture, it's absolutely wild to see the level of detail put into some of these tracks. That kids room for Ribbon Road blew my mind!

Once the booster course pass is all out, you should do another Mario kart video. Also try to glitch the game so that it says you are in first place so that people talk about how you are so good that you can win without even looking instead of you being in last place.

My favorite tracks are from this game, they all look so cool and it kinda expends how the world of Mario works outside of the more fantasy stuff, like the cities, airpoirts and stuff.

uninterested rick PAL and NTSC are video standards, used in Composite/Component Video, S-Video, and 'analog' TV.

2:46 Those same bells are actually found in several places around this track, because it's located in the Bell Cup (alongside Neo Bowser City, Super Bell Subway and Big Blue).🔔 Lot of tracks in MK8 do this as well, including the symbols of their corresponding cups inside the tracks themselves in one form of another.
