Shetland - Westside | 'The sunny side of Shetland'

Күн бұрынThe Westside of Mainland Shetland is called 'the sunny side' - and it certainly was the day we explored. In this video we visit some of the prehistoric sites - Neolithic Scourd of Brouster and Stanydale Temple - and then hike up to Culswick Broch. Finally we go to Sand on the eastside of Westside with its ruined church, laird's Haa, and fine beach.

The daisies reminding of shetland daffodils. They appear overnight in the first week of June then during the rest of that week fields of daisies appear. It's like having the whole of spring and summer together in just a few days

Many thanks for your comment - wind is always a problem in Shetland but luckily my Mavic Air coped!
