Love how Shiyi talks to people in a non confrontational way so that people respect her way of thinking and listens to her. A great negotiator

Lingyi brother is spineless. I don't understand what his wife sees in him...lol I love the fact that Shiyi went to comfort her husband after she heard the news about his brother. She knew exactly what he needed. She's wise beyond her years. She knows how to talk to Lingyi in a way that allows him to hear her. Whenever she gives him advice he always listens.

@@janet1649 me too. She's very gentle with him especially when it comes to giving him advice. I think he got so use to being berated by his late wife/his feelings being ignored by everyone that he resigned himself into living a miserable life. When Shiyi entered the picture and actually cared about him/how he felt it made it easier for him to listen to her advice. She was the one person in his life that didn't have an ulterior motive. She definitely taught some life lessons

@@shontelagrone8713 isn't this true for all of us? We are all searching for people who understands us and be there when needed? I guess this is why I can feel their emotions as my own.

@@janet1649 yes...so true. I think we can all relate to them on so level. Lingyi must've felt so empty living a life without love or someone that understood him. When he told General Fu that he never had that feeling before it opened my eyes to the loneliness he must've felt. He had a wife/3 concubines but didn't love either of them. At the end of the day we all need love in our lives. This scene can teach us all a valuable lesson when it comes to relationships/life.

@@shontelagrone8713 I'm watching "under the power" now, emotions are way stronger than this drama that I felt the pain of those characters. We are all the same in front of LOVE. Without it, no matter how wealthy we are, we are just zombies. LinYi only needs a wife who understands him and he is definitely lucky to have ShiYi. Both drama has the same female lead character. I really like Seven Tan. She brings both characters back to live. Especially in under the power, she has a scene that she didn't speak a word, but all of the emotions are shown in her tearful eyes.
