The factory Foxbody tachometer is known for not being very accurate. John has a pretty healthy 347 that loves to rev and it he was shifting more by sound vs the less than useful factory tachometer.
Things were super easy as Johns car was already equipped with one of MSDs solid state relays to provide us with the +12v needed. We show you how we configured it on the laptop. I apologize in advance for the less than stellar video quality. My camera had audio problems and Johns was set to 1080 and zooming in lost a lot of resolution compared to normal.
If you have any more detailed questions, please leave a comment and I'll be glad to answer.
Oh yeah! We also get wrenching on Petes car to put a stiffer spring in his blowoff valve in an effort to stop the surging the car has under acceleration. We presumed it was because the car was losing boost at high rpms.
