Great radio tent, the power line hole near the floor is also great for routing coax in and out of. Use em for field days a lot.

That's essentially built like a portable ice fishing hut. I will check the venting ability, but it looks as though I've found a secondary use for mine. Great to see you back online.

That humidity will kill you. I would update the Sleep System you use, using it to stay warm. Then keep one of the vents open to get air and reduce humidity. Good to see you back, although the circumstances suck.

There are dehumidifier crystals that are meant for hanging in your closet. Why not try a couple of those. Also, what about a 1 cubic foot wood stove or an ammo can wood stove? That's what I'd do. Lol Great vids!

Is the tents insulation intended to be fire-retardant or strictly insulative? Pretty cool setup.
@GUERRILLACOMM
@GUERRILLACOMM 5 жыл бұрын
Its strictly insulative. This will melt like a candle in no time if near direct fire. I wouldn't even be near a camp fire in fear of embers burning holes into it.

I just got one of these and noticed that at each corner there's a hole in the wall above the zipper. The holes are big enough to fit a few fingers through and you can touch the ground. How does this keep water / bugs / dust out? These holes are huge and I'm surprised that no one's noticed them. I've never had a tent with holes in it. If I tried to use this where I live in Ohio the thing would be full of Daddy Long Leg's within an hour. My wife didn't' zip up a corner of my normal tent one time and by the time I realized that my tent had been unzipped just a few inches for a few hours there were literally *hundreds* of spiders in the tent. Even after I thought I got rid of all of them I was still pulling one running across my face every few minutes all night... It was miserable. I'm returning the tent, hoping this is somehow a defect. But if it's designed to have holes in it there's no way I would recommend it as a shelter.

I just found the shift pod a week ago because I was looking for the absolute BEST Four Season shelter because I want to combine it with my invention, a Rocket Stove (in the-ground) Earthen Thermal Mass Heating System! It will heat a 100 +/- shelter easily, AND It will help keep it cool in summer also because Earth temps are always lower than ambient temperature... Tested in multiple locations king of hammers burning Man a lot of emergency situations they've improving intestine that's what I want to work with. They used YKK zippers and carbon graphite hubs and struts I was so impressed with her system just blown away like I had envisioned, EXACTLY what I envisioned An Ice Fishing Shelter Hub on steroids, that will be good for all ALL seasons Cold and hot weather both and high winds which I think we're going to be having to deal with more and more they're like a perfect emergency shelter and that's what I've been looking for for 20 years actually since I had a picture burned into my mind about 40 years ago of a bunch of tents across a pastor and I KNEW that they were refugees and if I didn't do something to help them they would die and then in the year 2000, 20 years later I had a powerful, -like real-time real-life Technicolor -like-I-was-there, vision of an underground house and a homeless Family. That shook up my world, charged me up and set me on a course that's included a website, a book, and a KZfaq channel ALL with the same name; How To Get Out Of Babylon and ALL trying to figure out how to help homeless people in horrible and emergency situations. I think this is what I've come to other than building houses underground we need to have some shelter that will absolutely stand up to high winds and snow and ice and extreme temperatures; we will see heat and cold and this is like the most PERFECT thing I've ever found; "Space Age Tent for Space Age Conditions!!!"
