I'm so happy to see the ballet elements coming back in floor routines. I've missed that in recent years. Shilese Jones is so tall and graceful, she would have made a beautiful ballet dancer too.

I LOVE this routine. I get lost in it. Like, I forget I’m watching a gymnastics routine. The artistry, dance and overall performance is TOP tier. Gives me Svetlana Khorkina vibes 😍

No disrespect to simone but shilese was my highlight of these nationals she is just getting better and better. This is absolutely stunning work just look at the difference from 2021 floor to this its almost like she's a different gymnast. ❤❤❤❤❤

With the emphasis moving back to dance, and not so much on 4 tumbling passes, she will do well. She's so beautiful, elegant and graceful. That triple L is to die for!

This routine is much better than her last! Still too bouncing, but I think she can be more planted in this style with her beautiful balletic lines. Just needs to use push down on the floor more to ground her movements, rather than spring through them! I approve this. And that triple L turn…a moment!

So artistry deductions, international idk about this performance. Shilese is artistic, but the choreo is very slow and has a long pause after the first tumble . She is literally walking slowly on floor for parts as dance yes its a slow music, BUT, it may be seen as smoke breaks and she can get penalized. Remember, Shilese's international score last year did not match her domestic the most of any gymnast from usa at worlds (for similar performances).

No she doesn’t. Gadirova did very few passes and won gold at last year world championship for floor exercise. Gotta get with the new COP.

She still got a huge score both days. If Kaliya doesn’t make the worlds team, Shilese could very well be in the floor final at worlds

I mean this is a 5.9 d score, another D level pass would only give her 0.1 and due to landings it’s not worth it

I don’t think she should get another tumbling pass, this is working for her. She would have made floor finals last year if she wasn’t 2 per countried out.
