When the slx dc does not have x-ship, is it because the bearing is replaced with bushing? If it is replaced by bushing, is it possible to upgrade the bushing with a bearing?

I've been waiting for you to do a test on the new Chronarch G vs the Curado DC....I fish for spotted bay bass and was wondering which would be able to cast a lighter lure farther.

I think the two really are basically one in the same. It's just that they wear different outer shells for marketing's sake. I didn't get a real close look at them but each time you took off the DC cover units it looked like they screwed on identically. I'm wondering if you can unscrew and swap just the DC units from one reel to the other?

since i got my curado dc, i have been watching alot of these kinds of videos. i notice one thing no one mentions directly. some lures will fly farther than others. you can cast a crankbait for a mile, and most times it's going to fly pretty straight. but tie on a spinner bait with a nice fluffy skirt, and 2 big willow blades. no matter how hard you throw it, it's only going so far. the greater the distance, the less probability of it going in a a straight line. that's just the lure. the reel doesn't make alot of difference. i have the curado dc, a daiwa jdm sv lite, and a lews mach 2. the sv casts the best, but it's the most expensive. but with something like a spinnerbait, not accounting for wind. they'll all put that spinnerbait about the same distance. 3 or 4 feet just doesn't mean that much most of the time. i think what it really comes down to is refinement. some people drive an elantra, some drive a caddilac, and some drive a truck. they'll all get you to work on time, and haul your groceries.

Funny that you blew up the Curado. All the internet demonstrations say you don't need to use your thumb. Amazing! I can laugh because I've overrun mine more than once. I guess if you crank down on the spool tension hard enough and sacrifice distance.... Looks like I may have to order up an SLX DC

For the price point I’m not going to pay Curado money. Makes no sense. Plus I dunked my SLX DC in saltwater and never washed it or oiled it. And still works 🧈.

Hi guy,,, any pros or cons on using braid xg200 Curado

My curado goes a bit futher on braid but the slx goes further on mono line, but being said it depends on the rod you use them on too. My vote is both are great, but the curado is a bit overpriced during to that computer chip inside

Ik this is very late but i agree 100% with the thumb bar the old “curado i” i believe thumb bar is so much better than the curado k . I bought two curado k and both thumb bars (the top piece) came unglued somehow and fell off the grip vs metal design is another reason they shouldve kept the old thumb bar and if i can recall right it sat up higher as well which was a nice touch

I haven't ever noticed the wiggle in thumb bar on my dc or normal SLX. Personally, I like the sleek look for that thumbbar.

How's everybody liking the curado dc now that you have had the time to use it? I bought one at Dicks and had to take it back because it didn't work right . I couldn't even cast it 35 feet without it back lashing in any setting. They didn't have another one at the time and just refunded me my money back and I may pick another up if everybody is having good luck with theirs.

People think the more bearings, the better the reel. They dont realize the handle has 4 of those bearings. The only bearings that matter for casting are the 2 spool bearings. Abu Garcia has been using 2 bearings for ever,and it's a bullet proof design. Shimano uses some of the best bearings in the world so it's hard to improve on them.

Do you prefer a standard curado , or slx dc ?

Is this a freshwater reel? Or can it be used in salt?

i see u weight the reels each time u should be using the clear hold that u prop them up on and tear the scale to clear out the clear plastic weight with scales if what u are weighing is no perfectly centered on scale u will never get a good weight had lots of experience with scales and no there is bo waight to get a good weight on it you just hit the T on ur scale after u put just the clear plastice pice on then place real on the plastic in center of scale so the all 4 points on the scale get same weight just my thought lol love ur videos

I have some issues have with Shimano like their cheap ass "PLASTIC" cam gear and thread eye assembly... No offense, DC or not, what is the use of putting all those "HIGH END" bearings, and DC magnets controlled by computers, special metal body assemblies, etc, then use a shitty plastic spool cam?!? And don't even get me started on that silly single hole spool.. What kind of knot do they expect you to tie with (ONE HOLE)?!? Least they could have done is do a straight through (1) hole all the way through both sides!!..... I swear, my Lews Tournament MP PRO has some (BETTER) features than the Curado DC!! And for $100.00+ LESS!!!! I just don't get it!!! I mean why do these companies keep trying to go smaller and lighter also?!? Do they not understand some like a heavier feel or larger sized reels?!? A Lews Superduty 300 is the biggest and best feeling i can find but it doesn't come with a higher gear than 7.5:1. I want 8+..... Would it kill Shimano to make a DC type 300 size reel, i mean really?!? Also to mention a measly 11lb of drag is the "DRIZZLING SHITS"!!!! At the least you can do is 20lb of Drag, i know people who have passed up on Shimano because of it!!! Shimano could really take over and send them all packing with a 300 sized reel with a stainless steel anodized body or all forged aluminum body type if they wanna go "CHEAP"!! But please use metal cam gear and spooler assembly, not cheap plastic, and for the love of God put at least (2) holes on the spool itself so people can tie a simple knot without fear of slippage with braid or having to run mono backings just to run braid!! If Shimano came out with a Curado Pewter/stainless colored 300 sized reel like the current Curado DC with what i just described and was DC, I'd buy (2)!!!!! At (LEAST)!!! I love my Curado DC, but i worry about it.. I do.. Those cheap plastic parts.... Call me crazy, but plastic worm/cam gears and spoolers just ain't gonna make it through too many big fighting large mouths... Maybe one day....
