Hard to pass on the value and performance you get out of a Stradic. One of my favorite reels of all-time!

So having both here's why they ce pro don't come close to the same level as The stradic or even the sustain as ffp claims. The ce pro is more inline with the Shimano ultegra. The only thing ce pro has over the stradic and even the sustain is the 10 bearings but 2 of those I believe are in the handle if I remember correctly so in all reality the ce pro has 8 in the reel it's self. The stradic is better over all. Stradic has 3 washers vs the CE pro which only has 2. This makes for far better durability especially if keeping the reel for multiple years. The stradic has a all one piece bail system the ce pro don't. The stradic has all one piece handle the CE pro don't. The stradic is more of a all one piece build vs the CE pro which is multiple pieces. The stradic has very few outside the body screws vs the CE pro that has a bunch on the outside. Both are great reels. But the big thing is the stradic price ranges from $209 to $229 depending what size and where you buy it from. Mean while the CE pro is $239.99 to $259.99 which is a big deal considering how much more stuff you get with the stradic I'll go stradic all day. So comparing the actual specs of the reel I would recommend the ultegra of if the person has the money the stradic over the CE pro all day long. Also at $239.99-$259.99 price points for the CE pro they shouldnt have that multiple piece handle and bail. And one more thing I forgot to mention is the ffp reels DO NOT HAVE a bail click / lock like all the other reel manufacturers have. I'm not sure about anyone else but I never look at my reel when opening the bail and casting it's just a habit but without that click / lock I've had the bail slam shut on me sooooo many times it's annoying feature of the reel that should also be on it for any of their reelsbut especially the reel that cost $240 Also for the record the stradic 1000 and 2500 comes with felt drag washers the 3000 and up come with dura Carbon washers. Which are better then both felt and Carbonfiber because its a combination of both so you get the smoothness of the felt but durability of the carbon Will say that ffp has top notch customer service

Felt drag is much smoother and more responsive then carbon, hence why the smaller sized spinning reels in Shimanos line up utilize felt. Carbon drag is way to jerky and unstable for finesse fishing, in a c5000 where responsiveness doesn't matter as much carbon is suitable. but for reels that fall into that 2500 and under size class, ill take felt all day

The New FM actually has Dura Cross drag. It’s cross woven felt like material that’s more than 10 times as durable than normal felt but still maintains the same responsiveness and smoothness of felt. Having said that you can clean and re grease your carbon drags yourself and get them to become super smooth

The new Stradic FM's have the duracross drag, which is woven carbon fiber. Its got the strength of carbon fiber and smoothness of felt. I dont fish saltwater but have had some steelhead make some crazy runs on the new stradic FM.

Bull Bay BANSHEE medium heavy 10-17 or Ninja Tackle 7’ Dagger “do it all” Rod. Both are the best two inshore rods I’ve ever used. And shimano reels only. I’ll get a Daiwa for cheap set ups for friends or kids but for me, shimano. I wouldn’t disrespect anyone by making them use a Penn. They’re trash.

@@dangabriel5167 I personally take Shimano all day everyday. Rod wise it depends what you doing ? Structure? Open water ? Little of both ? Artificials or live bait ? Or little of both ? Wade fishing ? Yak or boat fishing ? Or little of both ?. >Wading wise I been enjoying the 7'6 6-12 med fast Sniper or 7'10 6-12 med extra fast banshee >Boat or yak 7' 8-17 Med Heavy Assault for my live bait / cut bait or topwaters. 7' 8-17 Med Heavy Sniper for pitching artificials under docks or Mangroves. 7' 6-12 med fast sniper or 7' 5-10 med light Banshee for open water. If I had to pick one for little everything 7' 8-17 Sniper. Run 15lb braid. Still get plenty of casting distance , plenty of backbone , and can sie bait or artificials without any issues. Plus bull has the best customer service and warranty.
