Hey m8 i just bought twin power 8 000 and i have some play and its kinda noisy. Do you have any play on that handle?

Play in the handle should be hardly noticeable, and it’s noisy too?? I’d send it back. At its price point and as it’s Shimano’s second best spinning reel after the Stella, this reel should be sublime

is this reel just for offshore use? would you recommend a smaller size for inshore salmon fishing? thanks

Difficult to answer as I own TP SW-Cs in 4k, 5k, 8k and 14k! They are simply awesome for shore fishing, inshore boat and offshore boat fishing. I can’t recommend this range highly enough 10/10

Just bought a new one at a Shimano tackle Christmas tent sale. In the box no oil. Has a stainless steel bolt with an open eye on the other end. Anyone knows what this is. About an inch and a half long

Yes this “bolt” is only to be used if you wind with your RIGHT hand (otherwise you’d unscrew the handle). If that’s the case it’s a simple job of removing the standard fit one a swapping for the unused RIGHT hand one

Will this reel be just the boy for uk based shore common skate up to 200lb fishing? Also Uk shore Tope??

No, you’d need a bigger size, probably a 14k Twinpower or even up to a 18 or 20k Saragosa

Is the 8k the same size as the 6k? Or the 10k

I’ve not got a TP in 10k or 6k. However the body of the 14k is a little bigger than the 8k. Take a look at the comparison section on Shimano’s website or ring a dealer. That’s the best I can help bud
