Hi, thanks for the video, it's awesome, could you please write down the tool sizes? I figured the alen key is a 5, but i have to buy a skinny spanner, and i don't know the size.. 15 maybe?

Hi, most hubs ususally run on 4 rows of bearings, how come you're cleaning only two rows and not removing freehub body?

Good day sir samename! 😊 been watching this video of yours couple of times. Just wanna ask when is the right time to do service in XT hubs? I've been feeling roughness as i turn my rear wheel using my hands, is that a good reason to do service though there is no play yet in my hubs. Only the sensation of that "roughness". Beeb using this hubs for almost 2 months now. Hoping for your response.

Hi Adrian, if the hub are new there is no reason to service them but if you have that sensation maybe the hub is too tight and just need adjustment, mine are 2 years old and you see how clean tney are but you can look for rust inside too that happen if you use it on wet condition, just open them and look

Hi. I'm wondering why untighten the bolt from the cassette's side, usually we don't do this because it's what indicate the correct center position (sorry for my bad english)

Thru axel 12x142 cant fit into a 10x135 hub and depends on your frame drop out if is made for thru axle too, dont try😁ty

My drive side looks it has space for 2 rows of bearings and it looks like the rubber dust seal goes on before the cone, is this right?? 🤔

@@adrianavram6154 ok, am o caseta deore 5100 ( 11 pinioane 11-51) si eram curios daca as putea monta o caseta cu 12 pinioane, shimano la 12 pinioane are caseta doar micro spline.

Hi, if you mean clicks inside the freewheel body there are just 3

@@adrianavram6154 I mean over all clicks per full rotation of the freehub body. Because i'm on a tight budget and i wonder if it would make sense to buy the XT hub over a cheaper model just for an easier service it wouldn't be worth spending a lot more in my case. If it has more clicks than the cheaper ones and therefore less dead zone before the hub is engaged it sure would be worth it.

Sry i can't look because i gave the bike but it's a pretty cheap free hub about 40€ and last long time without service

Se merita? Ma streseaza mecanicul sa iau ceva pe rulmenti, dar e moarte la bani. As trece de la M785 XT la M8000 XT.

Salut, păi cea cu rulment nu mai ai treabă cu service-ul, m8000 e suficient de bun

@@adrianavram6154 La noi service-ul nu este 100 de euro per sedinta, ca in Vest, salariile nu sunt 3000 de euro, deci, vorba ta, xt-ul este suficient de bun, altfel in acel context, da, i-ati ceva beton, hope 4 pro sau mai bun, pentru ca rezolvi aproape permanent o problema. Adica folosesti rotile acelea cu butuci de 500 de euro 10 ani, 6 luni pe an, zi de zi, 6 ore pe zi.

Shimano XT M8000 very bad after 100 km of squeaking in the rear bearing, this was repeated several times after cleaning, eventually replaced by DT Swiss and has since easily powered a 2000 km non-standard tool with a central bearing. Japan began to earn more at the expense of quality.

Very strange, my shimano deore M6000 hubs looks perfect after 5000km, I cleaned it only once after the rain and mud ( they were clean inside ). Is shimano XT m8000 much worse than M6000?

Cum se da jos free hub-ul? Am o cursiera cu același sistem și am dat toți rulmenții jos, dar freehub ul nu înțeleg cum se da jos. E doar o gaura mare prin mijlocul butucului acum

@@adrianavram6154 am văzut unele clipuri spunând ca trebuie băgat acolo în mijloc un imbus de 10 sau 12, pentru a desface filetul freehub lui, care e pe interior. Dar 10 e prea mica și 12 prea mare
