Amy, I love watching different channels for different reasons. J. McGuire, I love her brain! How she figures things out, and makes beautiful things happen. You make cards more like me! For the creativity, fun, and joy of creating. Yes, I know it’s work too. I love that you tell us, some cards are diamonds and some coal-or rescued from coal. Thank you!

I know you hate the glue down part but boy did that flat adhere look good on this card. I agree, spray and walk away. No dabbing, no soaking up, no nothing and they look gorgeous! Super beautiful card Amy! 💜💜💜

Amy, I am so with you on walking away from backgrounds like that. 99 of 100 times I hate the wet background and love it dried. I used to fiddle with the sprayed backgrounds with a brush but nowadays I just walk away like you told me and I love them almost every time. I love the idea of combining distress oxide sprays with shimmer because I love the boldness of the colours but am not a fan of their chalky finish. so thanks again for a marvellous idea 💜

I’m a huge fan of covering any mistakes or anything I don’t like (like glue seeping out you were mentioning) and covering it with bling or something else…it really forces more creative measures too!

Beautiful! And yes, how different the panels look when dry. Sprays aren’t my favorites either I have figured out, now that I have lots of them…🙄🤣. I like to use the double sided adhesive sheets with vellum die cuts, not so messy adhere the whole thing nicely and no little dots like with artist-tac, which I otherwise use. TY for sharing your great ideas and techniques!! 😀🧑🏼🎨👍🏻

Yeah it was gross - I don't mind Simon's Craft Tacky glue getting on my fingers (b/c it doesn't stay sticky and I can quickly get it off with no issues) but working with it like this was beyond annoying and I meant it when I said I wouldn't do it again LOL

Gorgeous!! I haven't started using vellum yet but this technique using that beautiful stamp is fantastic! I want to run to my craft room and do it NOW!! LOL!! (but I can't because I'm in the middle of another project. So many crafts to do, so little time!) TFS!

I am really liking your backgrounds a lot! Vellum (along with acetate) is quite the challenge to try new things with let alone glue to something. I like the big cluster of flowers in vellum though it does cover up a lot of your gorgeous background. Some cards are so gorgeous it seems sad to cover them. Maybe just a nice greeting on the inside would suffice.

I use the Simon glue stick for my large vellum pieces. it works great, no curling.

hmmmmmmmm I might have to try that at some point. I used to use glue sticks ALL the time but haven't for years. I just prefer my Craft Tacky glue over everything. I have the SSS glue stick of course so one of these days I'll need to test it out.

These are beautiful (no surprise there!). The way the vellum looks is so special as well, really impressive. Speaking of the vellum, not sure if anybody has suggested this already, but would a foam brush work for applying the glue? It can be a good way of applying glue and acrylic paint, which can have a similar texture. Might work if you don't want to get your fingers all icky. A foam brayer could work as well, something you might find in a kids' paint set. I realise you don't want to try it again, but if anybody else reads this comment they might want to try it out. I'll give it a go hopefully and let you know maybe if it works. Anyway, thanks ,as always, for your beautiful content.

a foam brush is going to soak up a LOT of glue - so unless you're using like a container of Mod Podge or have a large amount of glue on hand I don't recommend it. It will work - it will just waste a ton more glue than is needed.

Why... Why can't they figure out a glue that doesn't show up? They are soooo brilliant, yet "that" seems to be impossible. Your cards.... I just love them❣️

B/c they aren't wizards lol. Glue is going to show through a transparent medium like vellum no matter what (and there is a tape out there that claims to be for vellum and not show up but it does). I've shown so many ways to make it work - this one is just more of a pain than it's worth (for me) - if I did it again I'd just run them through my Xyron machine - SO much easier

it's a gross feeling - I don't mind a little bit b/c it comes off quick (and Simon's glue doesn't dry "tacky" even tho it has that in the name - actual tacky glues I can't STAND to get on my fingers/hands b/c of the stickiness) but doing this was a nightmare for me lol
