He never had a bad personality....just greatly misunderstood, then he would intentionally play into that attitude/misunderstanding because of the negativity/hate he got because he is different just to throw it back in their faces. Heechul is someone who does not pretend. He also has a very strong non-conforming personality, very much his own person who does not follow the crowd against his own principles. There are no bad stories about him from SNSD.... You've clearly made that up. The ' bad' stories according to you would be fond silly stories from SNSD and nothing else. Also, don't forget you need to know given situations the members mentioned during their debut days. Everyone including the other members were sensitive and over reacted in their ways but because Heechul is more outspoken he was always pegged as the bad egg, and that is the reality of our world. Anyone who's not a sheep and has a strong formidable character is always branded and hated for no reason. The amazing thing is that Heechul does not/never respect or give haters the time of the day, however, you need no binoculars to see and feel how much he loves those he loves, and those who love him. He shows it in many ways and doesn't care.....also he got a lot of hate for the way he loves regardless of whom or what they are. No one has a bigger heart. No one is absolutely more sincere than Kim Heechul. Some people need time to warm up to others, or need something in common, or sometimes can get on with some people instantly more than others. Kim Heechul sacrificed a lot for SJ all alone in the beginning when no one knew or care about them. SUJU was put together temporarily with no money or budget for promotions in those days. It was young Heechul who worked hard to put them on the map as he already debuted as an actor first and successfully doing so well in so many variety shows. He continued promoting SJ. All the while, he was working as an actor, and on various programs and then no sleep or rest has to join every SUJU dancing, singing and appearance practice! He was so young as well while he worked like a horse, including attending University and working part-time for his University internship at the TV factory! These were all before they debuted as SUJU later on. To be honest, whenever I hear the members jokingly say Heechul had changed or how he used to be terrible.....it pisses me off because the lot of them where very selfish and inconsiderate towards Heechul especially as he doesn't complain and takes everything on the shin. He does not cry to anyone but soldiers on. So excuse if he at the time can't be bothered with the members inconsiderate attitudes, and choosing to ignore them probably to avoid confrontations is such a big crime no one can seem to understand....but it's all very clear to me. Despite all that, he still put SUJU's name out there and gained them fame. Only recently, in 2017 when Eun Hyuk and Shindong appeared on an Episode of Life Bar and candidly thanked Heechul for what he did and continuously do for the group. I like all SJ members btw..... I've also heard some of them mention Heechul's hard work for the group before however, they seem to like to tease Heechul as the terrible member of their debut days on broadcasts which I really don't like because it does make people believe he was horrible when that wasn't the case. They were scared of him because he kept to himself but doesn't take prisoners if offended either. In his defense, it's clear to see that all the other members have bonded without him as he leaves early for his dramas and numerous variety guest appearances + uni.....so both he and most of the members see little of each other. I imagined he must felt very lonely and like the odd one out hence just minded his own business which I see nothing wrong with. He clearly bonded and was close to the ones he shared rooms with and the ones who made efforts to get close to him.... example, Hangeng, DongHae, Siwon, and Kibum whom Heechul was also naturally close as they both debuted as actors first and worked on a number of dramas together. And guess what he's remained a true blue friend to each of them till today, while he also later got closer to other members as well. A lot of SUJU and other SM family members came to love him in no time as they could see his authentic and sincere heart/personality even though some of them admit he's a bit different. That difference is what the whole of S. Korea came to love him too as he never made any apologies for who he is. The rest of the world fell in love with his personality from day 1 while and when his own country couldn't reconcile his personality at first but he stood firm. This is why international fans don't understand why he got so much hate in the early days for difference of character cherished more. I could carry on but I'll stop here. However, @Jacob, please watch your comparison between Kim Heechul and Kang Ho Dong and any other information not true. Thanks
