Shin Megami Tensei 4 Boss Mastema (LAW) [MASTER]
First time playing through SMT4 series.
This game has been recommended to me multiple times.
I've decided to exclude the additional choices from the main story and just keep it full top screen (Beside in Boss fights). Every option I choose are CHAOS answers.
Pre-ordered a 3ds built in capture card a while ago 2016 (February) from Keity, but it takes around 5 months for them to make/ship it (I received it July 8th). Originally I had a 3ds XL just for this game, but the screen on a handheld device was just way too annoying to play on, and I'm not a fan of that but now I can play 3ds games on a monitor/tv with a lot bigger screen and it's a lot better now.

@@juanpablorobayo9891 In strange journey, he was just a manipulative dick (an entertaining one at that). In SMT IV, for some reason, he's aligned with the neutral side, and even a bit on the chaos side (he doesn't interfere at all in the chaos side and helps in neutral I believe), and, because of how hateable the law side is, it makes him a charismatic and cool character. Either way, in every game he's been in, he's always a joy to be be besides.

Nope, he was on tokyo because god, he wanted to save all humans and sealed the archangels because they had a dispute Mastema wanted to save all, The A.A wanted to make a new purer humanity, after Tokyo were sealed he got there in an attempt to save it via the reds, you can say Tayama was evil, but he tried to use a Counter mesure until they were able to banish the demons, that a pill 100x stronger than a full human is better than a demon eating like crazy like Shin Wang MU

This is a years-old spoiler, but in case you wonder: Instead of The God/YHVH, Mastema actually works for Akira/King Aquila, and NO, he's *NOT the same Mastema* from the Strange Journey/Redux.

@@n-extrafries-surprise Strange Journey even has the "Bites the dust" ailment skill, which literally blows you and your entire party up if you get hit after being affected with it. Pisaca's are super dangerous on SJ. Funny yet cool how many years later Mastema's VA did Kira on JJBA part 4.

It's a weapon called Longinus. Longinus is the strongest spear-type weapon in the game, with a base power of 432. It doesn't multitarget like other spears, but its high power makes it more consistently reliable.

This doesn't help at all. I have a better team, yet i can barely get him in the red. Buffing, debuffing, resisting, it's all useless. I tried even cheating the ai, not buffing or debuffing completely. But he goes silent prayer even with a single layer of buff. He never cast deadly wind on repel or drain force demons. He singles out a target and destroys it with basic attacks. Which have something like 50% chance of crit. OP was extremely lucky, defeating it like that. Well, he does have a main character that does 1k shock damage...

1.What was your setup? 2.Many late game bosses in 4 are damage races,especially route specific quests(mastema,demiurge etc),and should be hit hard and fast before they get out of hand(learned this the hard way with azazel).

He goes for Silent Prayer if you max buffs. Also, surviving the first turn is the real problem - He always goes first on Master difficulty, always uses Megidolaon, then almost always Deadly Wind, then another Megidolaon

It’s in the title. I think it’s a dlc quest or exclusive to law path, that might be the part that’s confusing you.
