Yes, this toy is available for less money on site's like Buyee. I downright SHOWED the cheaper prices in this video lol. I also said it's a rip-off at $100. Thankfully a lot of you caught that. I harped on the BBTS price point because it's more insulting, and it's the price that's more accessible to average Americans. And it's just funnier. I don't think you should buy this figure at Japanese retail price either; I still think it's a massive rip-off. It's just not a premium toy. Show me a site selling it for $50 and THEN I'll give you the high five
There's a piece of crotch that lowers a little to reveal a bit more design. I didn't have that part down in the finished transformation part of the video.
Also, even with no arms, Ultraman still keeps popping open. Screw this goddamn toy.

Nope. Bandai fully owns two of them (Ultraman and Evangelion) while they partially own a third (Kamen Rider). They only pay licensing for Godzilla, which I suspect they pay a percentage of their profits for rather than a yearly flat rate.

The detail on Goji is sooo smooth, it makes wave 1 Super7 Godzilla Ultimates' details looks sharp. I think Jobby phrased it well, looks like a happy meal toy. This probably better off as a candy toy instead. Definitely would be faaar cheaper than it is. This guy's price makes SHMA seems cheap and 100% worth it

Considering the Eva is piloted and that the pilots feel everything the robot does I imagine poor shinji must be hurting like hell after that transformation same with ultra man and actually everyone this transformation looks like it would hurt if you consider the context of each of them transforming with their in universe rules

I remember having BBTS ads for this thing shoved in my face a couple of months ago. I clicked one out of the sheer ridiculousness and immediately nope'd out when I saw that $344 price tag. I figured a certain JTH to review this way before you would. But thanks for taking the hit. Now I know that I made the right choice by not ordering this monstrosity, as tempting as owning a combining godzilla, Eva, Kamen Rider gestalt is.

Super entertaining video. I just find the idea too brilliant. I'm also a fan of all series. I bought Robo on Amazon and paid almost 200 euros (approx. 215 USD) for all of them. I think that's completely fine. At least you get four figures. Of course you have to come to terms with compromises

@@MonsterIslandBuddies BigBadToyStore sells the Robo completely overpriced. I pre-ordered it on Amazon at the time for a list price of 23100 yen (153.49 USD). Then there was the postage and tax to Germany and that was about 200 euros. I can understand your criticism very much, especially given the price you paid. Personally, I would have liked an atomic breathing effect for Shin Godzilla to recreate the Super Attack at the end of the commercial.

I'd love to see you do a video of the McDonalds X Godzilla Bearbricks, but I don't think there's much to discus there. Looks like something that you have to keep in the package for the novelty, and removing them is just like having a set of mismatched loose figures anyway.

Here's why the figure is actually UNDERPRICED: We start with Ultraman and the Evangelion which would at most cost 25 dollars each We're at 50 dollars Kamen Rider would be 5 dollars and Shin Godzilla would be 10 dollars We're at 65 dollars The mad transformation itself adds on another 20 dollars 85 dollars The idea of the cool sword is another 10 dollars 95 dollars The ad adds another 5 dollars on 100 dollars The cardboard box adds on another 5 dollars 105 dollars The sick box art adds on atleast 50 dollars. You should pay 5 dollars for each time you look at it 155 dollars And then the last thing is the amount of drugs that it took to come up with this insane batshit idea. The drugs were worth 15,000 dollars altogether and we will divide that by 6 which is the amount of people who will ever buy this. So that's another 2500 dollars 2655 dollars And of course we have to round that up to the nearest 9.99 2659.99 dollars So it's underpriced

I see a lot of people saying this should be $20 to $30 but that is entirely unrealistic given how the toy market currently is. That said, I really think it should be closer to the 50 - 60 price range. Part of the reason the price is so absurd is BBTS's markup, which is usually double what it costs in Japan if not more. In this case, it sells in Japan for the equivalent of around $150 - which is still twice as much as it probably should be - but that's down to exploiting otaku for big profit.

Man, remember those Godzilla/Evangelion crossover figures from a while back? The Eva painted MechaGodzillas and the like? That's what this should have been, a series of combinations of two of the four franchises, not all four together. Cramming all four into the one thing just is too visually chaotic.
