(c)1987 Make Way Music (song); 1992 Joyful Heart Music (recording)
Got a special treat for the viewers here, as starting here and continuing in the near future will be uploads of all 3 of the Breakaway Praise albums. During 1992-94; Peter Jacobs (already busy with the Colby the Computer and HeartSong series of productions) still had time to produce this series of albums, essentially a collection of familiar praise and worship songs (mainly familiar especially with those having grown up during the 1980s and 1990s) mixed with original music and some hymns included as well; as recorded by a combination of well-known names in Contemporary Christian Music at that time, some lesser-known names at the time and those who had worked with Jacobs on the Colby and HeartSong releases, such as daughter Christi as well as John Randall.
This album opens with a very up-tempo version of the Graham Kendrick penned classic "Shine, Jesus, Shine" with lead vocals by Crystal Lewis (Lewis, having begun to emerge from relative obscurity at that point, was in addition to recording co-starring at that time on the first season of the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series "Roundhouse" {co-produced by another CCM veteran, Benny Hester}; leaving after that season to focus on Christian music full-time; eventually becoming a well-known singer during the late 1990s/early 2000s), with this actually becoming Lewis' first song to chart at #1 on Christian radio.
Postscript: This song appeared twice on the later series "Colby's Clubhouse" (first on the last episode of the 2nd season - "A Friendship Clubhouse"; followed three episodes later in Season 3 when Crystal guest-starred and sang it on the episode titled, well, "Crystal Lewis Visits")
