5HINee are standard for performance, their dance and especially vocal is top tier! 💎 Key's voice is very direct and piercing, he has a slit on one of his eyebrows (a scar from when he was a kid). Minho has a lower tone, he is the tallest of the group and is known for having a small head and big eyes. Onew's voice is so distinct I don't even know how to describe it lol, he has a really cute and goofy smile! I assume you're already familiar with Taemin? Jonghyun had a rich voice and excellent falsetto, he had a wide and full smile like a dinosaur! Hope this helped a bit ^^

Onew has what I call a broad voice, it has weight. He also smiles a lot and is very quiet. Key has a bit more nasally tone. Super sassy, He has a thinner face and his eye brow scar is usually showing (people think it's on purpose since it looks like he razored a part of it). Minho is taller but has a small face with big eyes. His voice is deeper. Argues with Key a lot. Jonghyun has a broad range and really likes to play with beats and rhythms so I think that usually sets him aside. He has a more angular face shape (one of his nicknames was dino). Really cared about music more than any other kpop artist I've seen. Taemin you seem to know pretty well. His voice is really versatile but with a more gentle tone. He has a rounder face shape with big lips. haha He is very goofy and playful. Well I've been meaning to subscribe to your patreon for awhile...and Shinee live performances pushed me over the edge. September 1st I'll be there! I'm so glad you can appreciate their cover and vocals. Also, Jonghyun wrote "Gloomy Clock." He wrote it and asked IU's opinion (it was meant for Jonghyun's solo) but IU loved it so much she asked Jonghyun if she could have it for her album (I don't know if the requester mentioned that but I thought you would like to know)! SHINee's version of "Dear Name" is different than IU's original version, so if you haven't heard the original version I encourage you to check it out. If you pay attention to the lyrics of the song you will see why this song is so meaningful to SHINee -- SHINee's version of the song is dedicated to Jonghyun. So the "Dear Name" they are talking about is Jonghyun. Fun fact: IU's song "Gloomy Clock" -- one of her older songs -- was wrote by Jonghyun. Jonghyun and IU were really good friends and when she heard "Gloomy Clock" she asked him to give it to her. Jonghyun always said that after hearing IU sing "Gloomy Clock" he knew the song was meant for her, and in hindsight he thinks he might have subconsciously wrote the song with her in mind. Because IU and Jonghyun were so close, she was surprised that SHINee chose to sing "Dear Name" out of all of her songs, because she knows the deep meaning the lyrics have for all of them. As you may know, IU debuted 4 months after SHINee and she has been given the title of "the nation's little sister." She is known for her amazing vocal range and for her cute bubbly personality. She is also one of Korea's top actresses -- she has even acted in a drama with Minho, who is also a top male actor. And she has had song collaborations with Key and Taemin when they were younger. In the show, IU actually mentioned how Onew was one of her favorite male voices and they even talked about how they should do a collaboration together. Yes, all the members' voices are very unique. SHINee are one of the top groups that are known for the fact that they all can do it all. They are a group of 5 amazing vocalists, 5 impressive dancers, 5 visuals, 5 rappers, 5 top actors, and 5 of the most talented and unique voices in all of Kpop. Once you get to know their voices you will always be able to pick them out of a crowd just by the sound of their voice. I think it's easier to know who is who by their voices and a good video to try that is their showcase of "Sleepless Night" here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/grV8nNiWx5_Lkac.html The order they are siting is Onew with the dark suit, Taemin with the light gray suit, Jonghyun with the tan jacket, Minho with the navy coat and Key with the white jeans jacket. They all sing a little and it is really clear who is singing what. And about physical characteristics I would say: Onew has an almost hook nose, Jonghyun has the sharpest jaw, Key has a scar on his eyebrow, Minho has the biggest eyes and Taemin has the plushiest lips. I think the most accurate distinction you can use between members are their voices. They each have their own vocal color which is pretty easy to recognize.

The one with the voice with a punch is Key, and the one with the lower tone is Minho. I think you can already point out Onew's voice which is powerful but soothing with a warm quality, and Taemin's which is a bit more breathy and higher pitched.

I really enjoyed this reaction video. Honesltly… I watch most of your videos, and your lack of knowledge about 2nd and 3rd Gen Kpop artists really frustrates me. Such a beautiful and heartfelt cover, I got teary-eyed the first time I watched it on IU's Palette. I really love that they chose to cover Dear Name, a great tribute to both IU and Jonghyun. The whole episode of IU's Palette with SHINee is worth the watch, they take a trip down memory lane about their early debut days together.
