Jonghyun is known as one of the best vocalist in Kpop who was one of the most prolific songwriters and composers of his generation. Jonghyun wrote and composed more than 40% of SHINee's songs, plus he wrote all of his own solo songs and numerous songs for other artists such as EXO's "Playboy" and songs for Taemin, IU and Lee HI, etc., as well as participated in several movie and drama OSTs. He was one of the only SM artists to be given complete artistic control over his work, including several of SHINee's song selections. SM knew that if Jonghyun was involved in any way that the song would be a hit. He was extremely respected within the industry as a songwriter, composer and singer. He was one of the very first Idols to be know for his songwriting skills. If you look up Jonghyun's work you will be shocked at the amount of music credits and copyrights under his name. His legacy includes several dozen songs that were wrote and composed by him. It's one of the things that all Shawols hold onto as part the legend that he left behind that we feel is our duty to share with the world in order to keep his memory alive.
