stork's games are what really drove me to start spectating professional starcraft. years ago, few things made me happier than seeing stork achieve a win. thanks for the great games, dinotoss!!

I think part of that is because in SC1 you can only control 12 units at a time making it necessary to divide your army. In SC2, you can control 200 units at a time which makes it easier to move your entire army at once. So, in SC2 there's no need to divide your units. But in SC1, since they are divided, there are more smaller battles.

@GameMiestro Starcraft 1: Millions of battles everywhere on the map, crazy multitasking,strategies and everything. Starcraft 2: I make bunch of units,you make a bunch of units, our units meet somewhere on the map, who wins that battle wins the game.

it was double citadel delayed his arbiter tech so much. the mines hurt him a little too.

@vuk911 because the races in sc2 are much more efficient when they ball up

double citadel didnt affect stork that much. I'm a huge fan of stork but it was the constant careless micro to mines that made him lose, he lost at least a control group of goons through constant mine pressure

For some reason I think sc1 will go on for two or three more years in korea. You can't just make SC2 an esport over night. Everyone needs to buy the game and play it enough for people to enjoy it as a spectator sport there.

@jibaroo i agree. Starcraft doesn't have the same level of macro that Starcraft 1 has. Starcraft 1 just has so much going on at once while SC2 feels more like 2 blobs clashing into one another.

I have played both sc1 and sc2, zerg queens should be able to fly at least. also zerg units go slower off creep, do like the overlord ability to spawn creep near itself. the defensive structures for zerg are pointless things to build and as slow as they move they are not really very mobile either. I think adding a couple new units to each race plus adding another race would have been a better option then the 3-D effects being added.

i agree with you. However you cant same the same as SC2 EXAPANSION, it can be even better than sc1 , gonna wait it to cost only 200 $ so i can buy it.

StarCraft Brood War is the best RTS of all time!

SC1 v SC2 - can't be compared. Although some units are similar - the game play is completely different in sc2. I played it and it feels like a totally new game. Its like comparing WC3 to SC1 -> you can't say WC3 is better cause of this and that - they are different games. Same with SC1 and SC2. I like SCBW btw.

with their all but good franchise they had, blizzard is getting cockier with their game distribution system and multiplayer system. (1)after starcraft 2 was out and being played professionally i bet someone with a good knowledge will say that starcraft 1 is still the best.

Oh come on. The latest SC2 matches in the GSL are more impressive than anything ever seen in competitive Starcraft. I like watching these matches for a change of pace, but the fact is that a good deal of SC1 micro is spent trying to overcome the archaic unit AI and poor grouping options rather than strategic conquest. Besides, race matchups are a hell of a lot less one dimensional in SC2 than they were in the original.

Gah I just find it so stupid... All he ever does is seige tank.... mech mech. I see that it's effective, but it's pretty micro-less for a pro-level usage... I guess go with what gets you to the top, but not much respect...

@chltmdwp My rig can run anything, but SC:BW is so much better. I cannot play it competently at all, but I give everything to the people who are so skilled that they are playing it competitively. SC2 is nowhere near Brood War and the hate is justified where it's sucking things away from the SC1 scene when it is a very poor game in comparison.

(2)And all the game developer will just have to accept that graphic technological upgrade isnt everything thats makes a game a good game. sometimes 2D is better than 3D. isometric is better than first person. for starcraft, blizzard will just like bethesda, ruining fallout franchise once and for all.
