That show had one of the strongest opening episodes for an anime about a musician that I've seen, and then it felt like the writing switched over to generic music competition anime with the worst execution and I've never been so disappointed with a show in my life

Kinoshita san has been a big influence on my personal development as a Shamisen Player . Especially in the fusion of traditional Shamisen with modern Rock, pop and world music. Even today when I write my own original music for Shamisen I can feel his influence! Great Video!

That was beautiful. I found this video because Marty Friedman was talking about Shamisen in an interview with Rick Beato. Marty was saying that he feels Japanese of all ages are comfortable with distorted guitar sound because of the sound qualities and styling of Tsugaru-jamisen. I'm so happy to be able to expand my music experience. Thank you.

Justin Moran haha Are you trying to correct me? firstly its not せんぱい its 先輩, you have to use the Kanjis because "せんぱい" can be read with a different meaning. Secondly By Senpai you're referring to someone Higher than you IN THE SAME AREA, someone that have reached a Higher level at (School, College, Work) or have master certain Skill above you. I've been living In Japan for almost 2 year by now. I have a N2 Level in Japanese. Don't come here Thinking you know everything. (:

The shamisen is a beautiful instrument to admire and listen (🇯🇵). It has the same tuning of Greek trichordo bouzouki (DAD tuning 🇬🇷) and the same sound of American banjo (🇺🇸).

It's really awesome. Great technique, great instrument. Amazing really. I just think the composition needed a little more structure, distinguishable themes and motifs. 10/10 regardless.
