There is something about the sounds at the stations, in the Shinkansen, announcements and chimes that make my heart flutter in excitement and anticipation of what adventures lie ahead. Hopefully someday I can experience those sounds again! In the meantime, thank you Shinichi for taking me with you!

Yeah, I was there at the end of the 1990s, when I was adventurous and in my 20s. Now I'm almost 50, I think I'd almost be afraid to go there for fear of making a mistake. LOL Fascinating country!

I think many people watch your channel to see different parts of Japan before they go, so don't feel bad that you aren't traveling the world right now. You are still showing people places they've never been that they may visit some day because of your videos.

I got to take three trips via Shinkansen from the Shinagawa station: Hiroshima, Osaka and Hakata. Of the three, the trip to Hakata was my favorite because it was the longest (about 8 hours), and Fukuoka has these DELICIOUS sweet potato cakes I still miss 10 years later! Even though it can be more expensive than flying, I also prefer taking the Shinkansen because I love the sensation of "flying" at ground level.

I can't WAIT to travel there. I really hope they get moving on vaccinations and re-opening there boarder again for foreign travelers. I have a 2 week bucket list trip planned. And i really want and probably will take the bullet train from Shinjuku to Osaka. Then again i may even fly domestically we shall see. I think going from Haneda to Itami will be quicker then even any bullet train but that's just me. Great video showcasing the beauty of Japanese engineering at it's finest. And yes as other have mentioned one of THE BEST things i love about Japanese culture is just how clean they are as a nation. We could learn A LOT about that here in the US.

I love the Shinkansen, All the sounds of the Stations and trains are almost comforting. Mika Moo(my wife) and I went to Hakata to go to a owl cafe and watch Sumo bouts that were there, it was surreal to see sumo coming out of combini’s and acknowledge the little bow you would give them - pity in the stadium, the people didn’t respect people trying to watch. It was more like an Aussie Rules football game crowd standing up and blocking the view of the very quick bouts.

Was on this train - fantastic. Also got lost in downtown Tokyo - had to wait on a corner for someone to get me. It was 5 o'clock rush hour. No noise, no horns, no brakes, unbelievable the peace and quiet as the cars made their way out of downtown Tokyo. There wasn't a second I felt scared - not even a second!

I imagine the real experience is incomparable to a video on our screens, but I am thoroughly enjoying videos like yours. Japan has been one of my favourite countries since I was 15 when I really 'discovered' it, and I have become absolutely obsessed with it for about a year now; fortunately, the Internet has made it possible for me to see it without even going there -- and possibly showing me stuff I will never see, even when I do visit. Ideally, I'd like to spend 5-6 years there with my husband on unlimited budget, going up and down the country as we please, with additional visits later on, of course! That would be the dream. Hopefully one day soon!! For the time being, I am absolutely content watching your videos, and living vicariously through them. You are doing a great job, and the lack of talking on your part lets us immerse ourselves even more in the surrounding sounds. That being said, I would not be opposed to a narration if you are up for it. 😁

I loved the Shinkansen rides ('2017) 😍. Best train ride ever in my life. And for tourists, the Japan Rail Pass is definitely a good option (if you plan to travel a lot around Japan and want to use the Shinkansen) In 2017 it was 250 € for 7 days. So after only 2 trips with the Shinkansen, the pass was worth it.

I have had a fascination with Asia in general since I was young but Japan is probably my favourite place of all. As others have commented here, it may seem odd but it's strangely comforting to just sit and almost feel I am there just going along for the ride.
