@@LordVanOskuro there is a theory that said that Yggdrassil was corrupted, and that the uncorrupted part of yggdrassil made all the fuss to force omegamon and alphamon´s hand to destroy him so yggdrassil could be "revive from scratch" without corruption.

that is one of the biggest problems with Tri... Alphamon is the "Ruler of the Empty Seat" and a Digimon that will only exist when the Digital World is in danger in order to save it. He is by definition a HERO, even though he will only exists when he is absolutely needed (Thats why one of the Royal Knights, Gankoomon doesnt really like him, and trained Jesmon in order for him to be a Hero that is always there, thats why Jesmon Alphamon and Omegamon are technically the 3 Strongest Royal Knights). But Tri portrayed him as an evil being because the Director of Tri hated this film (he said this himself) it was an act of: "I Hate X Evolution because I hated making it but still got better reviews than adventure that I like moar... So I will make him an evil stupid guy that doesnt speak in this movie of the work that I actually like). And why does he like Adventure but not X Evolution? Simple: when he made adventure, he did whatever he wanted without knowledge of the actual digimon lore (aka no Yggdrassil, no Royal knights, etc) but when he made X-evolution they forced him to read actual Digimon lore and base the story of that, and he stated that he hated that, a lot.

While a part of me actually does wanna believe that (because that's a good of any reason for Alphamon to have been in Tri), the main problem I have with that is that I'm pretty sure concepts like the Royal Knights, Alphamon, and Yggdrasil did not exist during the time Adventure 01 was made. So I'm pretty hesitant to believe that without something to back it up.

I am A human this doesn't explain how he became an x digimon. The rest of the digimon got an x-antibody from another x digimon so where did dukemon got his?

The Knights are supposed to survive. They were supposed to be the ones who kept order. Because of this, I think there's an innate something that keeps them from being destroyed. The DexDorugreymons could have done it, as they were meant to wipe out all life, but another knight? Should never happen. Best explanation I've got.

Caleb Lambright true, however, in digimon x evolution ygdrassil is the host computer for the digital world and it was running out of storage which is why the culling was needed, computers have limited space

It wasnt, this movie along with the X Digimons as a concept was what prevented the franchise to go extinct... The reason why it ALMOST got extinct was Digimon Frontier or Digimon "4" (the anime), then when the franchise was about to get AXED, they released this, and it was SO GOOD, it survived.
