The bottle you found @ 4:25 is called a Codd bottle & could be quite old. “In 1872 Hiram Codd introduced a design featuring a glass marble to keep it airtight. The Codd-neck bottle, as it was called, enclosed a marble and a rubber washer/gasket in the neck. The pressure of the gas in the bottle forced the marble against the washer, sealing in the carbonation.” Fun outing as always 🎃

I have that same little ceramic angel bell! She now goes on the mini tree on my beside table. She was a gift from an antique dealer I befriended. I believe she was part of a set, as I remember seeing her with a Santa and some squarish plainer bells that had designs on one side. Keep an eye out for her friends!

The bottle with the marble is a codd bottle found mostly in England. It's old probably late 1800s.

I'm pretty sure I had that exact robe (or at least one very similar) when I was little in the early-mid 80's- my mom has a picture of me wearing it on Christmas morning

My Mom let me take some very old Christmas postcards to my first grade class (1966) for show and tell. My teacher asked to show them to someone and that was the last we saw of them. They were all Santa’s so I’ve seen pictures of old postcards that I’ve kind of recognized but maybe not - oh well!

I have to vicariously live through your shopping, and today at my St. Vincent de Paul thrift shop is a great example. They had a big table of gingerbread decor (I only wanted 2 pieces) -- raffle only, $10 ticket minimum. Bummer, but okay. A gingerbread house cookie jar, bottom only -- $10. A pair of bookends, but $8 _each._ And I tried to buy a little fake brass candolier, but they wouldn't sell it to me because the tag fell off. 😭

Oh my gosh I soooo wish I wasn't so far-away from Unique I NEED that robe for my Granddaughter! I always pick up anything vintage that would fit her and she has worn some really cool vintage 80's and 90's clothes to Pre-K this year 😊

Just found new in the box Bubble lights, my gosh there is no way I could put these on my tree , they are very warm, I'm going to use them along my cabinet, use some kind of adhesive to keep them standing up on the back side and then put all my vintage Christmas, in front of it I won't let them go beyond a hour on so in the later evening , just to see them in the dark. 😊
