The Hayasui (速吸, "Quick Absorption") was a Japanese fleet oiler (hybrid tanker/carrier) of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), serving during World War II.
Hayasui was completed as one of the Kazahaya class fleet oilers. After lack of reconnaissance planes was identified as a contributing factor to defeat of the IJN at the Battle of Midway, aviation facilities were added to Hayasui for accompanying the carrier task force. The IJN added the function of food supply ship to Hayasui to improve carrier task force endurance following experience at the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands.

艦これ無かったらこんな艦エッチングパーツ付きのキットなんて絶対出ないから旧来からの艦船模型ファンとしてはあのゲームには感謝しかない願わくばこの動画見て艦これファンから1人でもモデラーが誕生すると嬉しいな

私は6ヶ月ぐらい前に始めた新規提督ですが同じく艦船プラモデルは作っています私が初めてエッチングパーツ付きキットは軽空母千歳でした多分艦これが無かったら艦船プラモデルなんて作ってなかったと思います艦これには感謝感激

I never heard of any Fleet Oilers/Supply Ships that also carried scout planes, it is pretty interesting, maybe there will be Fleet Oilers/Supply Ships in the next few decades that will carry extra fighter drones for drone carriers XD

I am currently building HAYASUI as well. I was also able to find the Aoshima Detail Up set for her. In order to do this kit right I purchased no less than 15 aftermarket upgrades for her- new 12.7mm guns, triple mount 25mm, Flyhawk detail set for the E13a1 aircraft, a new 1:700 aircraft set because Aoshima supplied the wrong planes for this kit essentially. New decals for the bow depth gauge in Japanese and many other items.... Plus 2 books that had what little is available on Hayasui- a Model Art magazine from Autumn of 2013 has a very good article on her, as the author of the article had to scratch build his in 1:700 prior to the release of the Aoshima kit !! Very fine work here my friend, always a pleasure to watch your work so thank you for thinking enough to show us your work !! 🚬😎

just learned how to build a warship model still lots of fragile pieces cant handle well like broking apart or flying away Ive watched ur videos about ijn warship for several times really obsessed by how those showed up finally hope more types of ships or models or even process could be presented by noob even without tools

自分もアクリジョンの筆塗りで駆逐艦を塗ってみましたが筆につけた塗料がすぐ乾いてしまうのでなかなか難しかったですね…次はエアブラシ塗装をしたいと思ってたので参考になりました！

Cool ship, nicely done! I'm not convinced about the Acrysion paint, it looks grainy, perhaps it needs a little more thinner, I will stick with the regular acrylics and lacquers for now. What is the story with the cute little girl character? Thank you for the video.

She is a character from online card game Kancolle where girls used to present ships from Imperial Japanese Navy and fight with monster girls called abbysal fleet whose are clearly americans. Lately they have been adding allied ships as playable ship girls to not to be marked as "people trying to revive the imperial soul". You can search her by typing hayasui kancolle etc

I own the Lifecolor (Italy) IJN acrylic paint set. Which IJN color is appropriate for HAYASUI ? Kure Gray Sasebo Gray Yokosuka Gray, or Maizuru Gray ?.... Thank you !! 🚬😎

Maybe it's very late but I think any IJN gray works because their composition only have slight differences. As from my experience Sasebo gray has darker color than Kure

This is simply not true- why would you spread mis-info ? If you don't know ? Don't say or write !! I have plenty of photographic evidence that says you're dead wrong. Vessels like repair ships & minelayers had the chysanthemum crest on the bows. Both are smaller than a cruiser, no doubt. Wth ? Go back to video games & World of Warships- you ain't so hot in the real world.... 🚬😎
