This loaded 20' sea container needed to be moved to it's new home, so I got the rollback fired up, stopped for some rainy day pizza, and headed down to get it moved!
Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! Again Casey shows real professionalism. Chaining down not only the bottom of container but also CROSS chaining the top of container to his load deck. Can't count the trucks that come into the station down road and can actually watch the containers lift up the side that the truck is turning. Again, for your descriptive monolog as you work, I express many thanks

Geeze. I used to run containers on a roll back everyday. The way I would chain down the containers, I could probably tip the truck upside-down and it wouldn't move. I used to run a tilt tray, picking up and dropping off generators. Whenever they were coming on the deck crooked, we had a trick to straighten them. Hook a chain to the corner of the generator at the rear of the truck, towards the side you need it to move. Then hook the winch to the diagonally opposite corner and start pulling in. You’d be surprised how quickly it moves sideways. Thanks for taking us for the ride.

@@ckm-mkc The company was in Philly and sadly, we were heading toward insolvency when I left after 2 years. I could get jobs, but if the owner would not release my crews to work when the smaller customers needed a move to happen, clients were mad and the reputation meant we lost our good word of mouth for being dependable. Big corporate customers appreciated that policy, but the mom and pops that were the bread and butter of the operation between the big jobs were lost to our competitors.
