We saw the most fantastic autumn colors in the pretty mountain village. The leaves on the trees were red, orange, yellow, and brown, like a beautiful blanket. The houses in the village had unique roofs made of straw, and they looked nice among the trees. The smoke from the chimneys made the village feel cozy. The people there kept their traditions but also had modern things. We went up to a high place and saw an extensive view of the village and the mountains. The sky looked like the same colors as the leaves and was a beautiful sight. We felt lucky to see all the beauty of Shirakawa-go.
