The original Murasaki from Shiseido (circa 1989) was an exquisite , delicate, ethereal and elegant gardenia, iris, galbanum, and incense beauty. It's a real treasure. The new Ginza Murasaki sounds a bit fruity and sweet.

I blind bought the original one last year based on reviews alone I love it, especially for Spring. I'm scared of violet and apple(granny Smith, I do love DKNY be delicious though) I was expecting more violet because of the color sort of like a drop d'Issey
